I absolutely loved how Terry Lewis changed the bass line on "The Bird"! That's exactly what was missing from the original version. He made the song his own. It felt more like 🎵 The Time!!!

AC - I had the pleasure of seeing them live in Wingate Park in Brooklyn NYC and that show was free. It was supposed to be a double bill meaning on the same bill first was to perform would have been The Gap Band but a representative for them said that they were caught in traffic and weren't able to start the show. So being that Morris Day & The Time as they were known back then and this the summer year of 2000 they went on in place of the Gap Band. They killed it - the whole place was uncontrollable do you hear me. Every one was having the time of their lives no pun intended. After their show ended most of the crowd split and went home so I don't know if the Gap Band ever made it there to perform.
They cut their songs too damn short. I'm surprised when Morris asked the crowd during the song ""the walk" to stand and clap your hands - they actually stood up. On cue. Wow. Didn't expect that because most of the time when artists ask the audience to do some in reference to a song most of the time they just sit there like deer caught in the headlights.
Yeah my ears have been getting spoiled listening to Prince because he gonna make sure the sound is great. Like even videos from cell phones are great. The fellas did there part though💜💜💜
This is probably digitized from VHS, that was a copy, from a copy, from a copy....that's what the footage looks and sounds like. Back then us fans would have paid good $ for this, cuz their performances were consdered some of the rarest stuff u could get yo hands on. There was no official VHS Releases of their shows.

this performance was for the record company people at warner Brother so they are a little jaded I was there.
I like the video but whoever shot it only got shots of Morris Day. it's the time. not the Morris Day show they should have shown a wider View
