Thank you! We tried to make it interesting. This is really only the tip of what's coming - we performed a couple of mods by adding D-85MG servos in the elevons and just enough tail weight to balance at 45mm behind the marks. The next flight should really showcase how well it can perform, and we'll pit it against the Rafale 80mm to see if it holds up to it.
Great flying and review as always, Jon, Will and crew! This video had the works. LOS, FPV capture, voltage overlay, and real time GPS. I failed to mention radio programming tips, which should save the average guy weeks of trial and error. You guys have definitely raised the bar. I look forward to seeing future flights with this jet.

You convinced me Jon! I ordered the 8S version and can’t wait to see what I can do with it!!! So far for delta wings I own the Mirage 2000 from Freewing and it’s my favorite plane that doesn’t have thrust vectoring.
We definitely recommend only the 6 cell version. The thrust to weight ratio and wing loading are best on that setup - but here's hoping you'll enjoy the version you ordered!
Well done my bro 🥳👍🏻 that was a really good video…you should be the tester for Freewing (like really….) Even the video quality and framing wasn’t perfect, it’s okay 😅 I will post my maiden video Friday at 4:00 pm UTC 😇 I hope you’ll be there 🤩

Undoubtedly, but I have it on good authority that the Eurofighter at a neutral CG is probably a better flying airframe. We'll pit them against each other!
25:30 Yes this time wasting is not professional. If you have not 2 chanels in the radio left, i did a uP-Programm on Arduino. On the Table it works within 4 Seconds instead of >15s! Keep in mind, the Eurofighter Doors does not go to the maximum of PWM-Signal for open doors. I used 1600ms (vs 2200ms). Good luck.

Pick it up from RC Castle - it's a little more shipping but Raymond is awesome and deserves your support! We'll be comparing the Rafale 80 to the Euro 90 very soon, including with some mods to the Eurofighter which will make it perform closer to the Rafale.
Good looking jet! I’ve only bought one Delta wing- FMS Rafale, and I’m still trying to figure out it’s capabilities. Plus it’s fighting truck space and the same size batteries as the FMS Futura v3, Bae Hawk and big a-10. I felt Freewing should’ve stopped releasing new jets after the release of the F-22 80/90mm and the B-2. They outdid themselves on both.

One of my slight concerns I have about this jet is as mentioned the battery placement. I have flown the mirage on a 4000 and like it apart from the lack of reinforcements to the nose. This eurofighter is a 90mm flying on a 4000 or in your case a 4500(light bat) I was expecting it to be powered by a heavy 5000 or a light 6000

Eurofighter 90mm v3 by Freewing and the FMS Rafale I seen both of yours videos. Which one do you like to fly. Which one does the high alpha the best. And which has the best quality?
Did you have any power issues on this? I just maidened mine and I was getting 68mph top speed. Zero vertical climb. I’ve tried new battery, recalibrating the esc 4 times. Any other tips?
Nice review as always. How would you say it compares to the 90mm F22 with an FMS Motor? The ARF version of the F22 seems like a much better deal considering how many more servos you get and dedicated flaps...
The F-22 is more agile than the Eurofighter with our setup, but that may change with the mods we did to the EF last night. The F-22 is a solid choice but doesn't look anywhere near as good as the Eurofighter. The scale detail on this jet is next-level good.
Great reviews as always… I have the 8s version and was wondering is it better to use the air brake for landings or is it a bad idea based on the weight of the jet being 8s it is pretty heavy to me. I’ve noticed it drops out the sky fast the moment you start pulling back on the throttle
The air brake has very little effect at this scale. It acts more like a second vertical stabilizer. Feel free to use it, just add a tiny bit of extra power when you do so.
Hey Jon,can you explain more about canard takeoff mix plz?,I have ix14 but I can’t put ele > ele ,I only able to set ele>aux2 and it doesn’t work as yours
@@TwoBrosRC actually not I have jas 39, and I followed motionrc setup video for that part when I did setup I just assigned but still ELE is not available in the right mixing list

Eurofighter is a delta wing, so even if the WIng CUbE lOaDINg is really high, it won't handle like it - meaning it'll actually be a bit more enjoyable to fly than Futura because it won't experience accelerated stalls anywhere near as easily. We say this having flown Eurofighter and Futura on the most tail heavy CG that we can get - 50mm behind the recommended marks with EF, and right over the main wheels with Futura. Definitely won't get mad at ya for testing your limits. Show off your footage on Discord when you get a chance to film it!
Rafale is 80mm - and they fly distinctly different. Eurofighter is more stable, Rafale is more agile. We're posting a comparison between the two jets in the near future which will go over this.
You'd have to fly with fixed AS3X and no SAFE if you run this on a NX10 using our setup - but if you keep more of the original setup, you can run fewer channels and free up receiver channels for flight modes.
I am going to be maidening mine tomorrow 6s version with a smc 5300mah HV.. Balanced mine at stock cg, but it sounds like you are stating it will be too nose heavy. How far back behind the stock cg with a smc 5300mah HV for a maiden would be safe. I know you are good on the sticks and comfortable with aft cg. Would appreciate any recommendations.
@Two Brothers Radio Control thank you so much for all of your content. Your videos are why i am doing 90mm jets now. How you break it down for everyone to understand is amazing.ordered 2 of the 90mm viper set up for 90mm f22 1 from horizon(back ordered)& 1 from fms, so i had a spare motor & fan. Installed it on the 90mm euro fighter and maidened it sunday at 25mm behind stock cg and what a pleasant maiden it was. Keep up the great work that you do. It does not go unnoticed. I have now got at least 5 of my club members watching your you tube videos and they are thinking about larger jets. I can't say enough.THANKS AGAIN.
Not at all, not even remotely. Fighter jet gear cycles are measured in like three seconds, usually. It's rare that anything takes longer. Even if it does, that's a scale feature we could do without.
@@TwoBrosRC thank you very much. I was very confused about what that was for by the way you make excellent videos better than the companies that sell the Jets and planes.
Between the Freewing Typhoon, Freewing Gripen and FMS Rafale, how would you rank the canard deltas? (I assume there will be a comparison video coming at some point...😉)
@@TwoBrosRC that's what I figured. I have picked up the Rafale and am just waiting for the snow to disappear. I was wondering if I should pick up the Gripen or pre-order for the next shipment of Typhoons. Thanks! Looking forward to the comparison video!
@@TwoBrosRC as far as grass handling goes, how would you rank them? As you might be aware, we are having some issues up here in Canada and only the grass field I fly at has been approved. The field with the Geotex runway I fly at may take a while to be approved for use again.
Thanks for all the info! Which of the two would you say is easier to fly and land: Eurofighter or Rafale? I will get both eventually, but only have money for now. (And out of curiosity, how would the FW 90mm F-18 compare to these two?)
@Kolbe Villa Apparently, it landed relatively faster than the previous version in the video. The structures of aerodynamics between V2 & V3 got obvious differences as well. V2 floats MUCH better!!
Slower. You wouldn't be pushing the amount of thrust you'd need on 6 cells. You'd have to upgrade to an 8 cell setup which comes with its own issues, like additional weight for one.
@@TwoBrosRC so you're saying that lower kv provides more torque less speed and that's why they would use a 1450 for a heavier jet? But then the higher kv would theatrically need longer runway to get airborne
@@TwoBrosRC most start their transition to edf with the 64 class and until recently I thought that they only used up to a 4s and a 3300 k motor, but I've found someone using a 2300kv ,6s on a 64mm and I think a 11 blade fan. Do you think it would go faster than the 4s?
@@TwoBrosRC I'm still trying to work it all out. I've given up on anything that has a 5 or 6 blade fan do that eliminates some. 70mm is the most affordable class for me and motor size seems to be same on kv is different depending on type of jet size and weight. Guess I was thinking if a jet comes stock with a 4s. Like 3000 kv why can't I make it faster with a 2300 using a 6s?
Fantastic video and review... Just painfully nose heavy with anything 5000 mAh and above it seems... I just can't believe they completely failed on the battery bay design YET AGAIN! Another epic failure just like the Gripen. Especially on a delta where aft cg flexibility is the most beneficial. Such a shame. Even the OG EPS Eurofighter had a much better battery bay 🙄 This could've been their best release yet with a proper battery bay.
Thankfully a slight bit of weight in the tail gets the model to balance at 45mm back from the marks. If it's anything like Gripen, it'll wake up past 40mm.
@@TwoBrosRC I'd sell a plane before adding dead weight due to poor design... Just couldn't do it 🤕 There's no way to remove that giant bulkhead at the rear of the bay? I'll bet it's some type of nose gear support knowing our luck 🙄
@@fern6978 Its a gear support. 14g of tail weight with a 4400 pack gets the jet to balance at 45mm. We're shooting for the ballpark of 60mm back so we may add a couple of more weights. @Airguardian added like 130g to his Gripen to get it to fly right. Sometimes that's just how Freewing jets are. The FMS Rafale 80mm doesn't need any weight to balance neutrally though, one of many reasons why we love it.

Not at all, not even remotely. Fighter jet gear cycles are measured in like three seconds, usually. It's rare that anything takes longer. Even if it does, that's a scale feature we could do without.
w00t !!!
What is the spring for that comes with the hardware?
It's a softer nose strut spring.
Gripen ranks dead last. Eurofighter and Rafale both get high marks from us. A comparison between the two is coming!
@@northernrcflyer Eurofighter probably handles grass better than Rafale, but they're both pretty similar we'd wager.
Thanks for all the info! Which of the two would you say is easier to fly and land: Eurofighter or Rafale? I will get both eventually, but only have money for now.
(And out of curiosity, how would the FW 90mm F-18 compare to these two?)
EPO V3 is heavier than EPS V2 by more than 200 grams.
Yes, but the jet definitely looks way better than it did before.
About 8 years of lipo development and power system improvements more than makes up for the extra 200 grams of foam.
@Kolbe Villa Apparently, it landed relatively faster than the previous version in the video. The structures of aerodynamics between V2 & V3 got obvious differences as well. V2 floats MUCH better!!
@Kolbe Villa Also, Freewing's EPS Su-35 w/ thrust vectoring was in the addictive FLOATING category LOL🤘🤙
@Kolbe Villa I meant V2 did NOT require "REVERSE THRUST" AT ALL for touch down
What would happen if a 1450kv motor was used instead? Faster or slower?
@@michaelmickoberhaus8009 Motor Kv is only part of the equation. How big the motor is, how good your batteries are, etc also plays a factor.
Why did you go with 6s instead of the 8s?
6s is lighter, better maneuverability, with just a bit less vertical/top-end speed
What Kolbe said. 8s offers more low-end thrust potential but at a significant weight and 💵 cost, along with requiring 2x the batteries per flight.
Wait why $700? Motion still has it for $600
We got it from RC Castle so we'd have it first.
I'm a little confused about the battery size. Is the V3 a 8s or 6s?
It depends on which version you order.
@@TwoBrosRC I order the 8s version. Would you recommend the LIHV batteries.
@@randyfortish918 On this jet? Absolutely.
Even the OG EPS Eurofighter had a much better battery bay 🙄
This could've been their best release yet with a proper battery bay.
Thankfully a slight bit of weight in the tail gets the model to balance at 45mm back from the marks. If it's anything like Gripen, it'll wake up past 40mm.
@@TwoBrosRC I'd sell a plane before adding dead weight due to poor design... Just couldn't do it 🤕
There's no way to remove that giant bulkhead at the rear of the bay? I'll bet it's some type of nose gear support knowing our luck 🙄
@@fern6978 Its a gear support. 14g of tail weight with a 4400 pack gets the jet to balance at 45mm. We're shooting for the ballpark of 60mm back so we may add a couple of more weights. @Airguardian added like 130g to his Gripen to get it to fly right. Sometimes that's just how Freewing jets are. The FMS Rafale 80mm doesn't need any weight to balance neutrally though, one of many reasons why we love it.
can you give it to me pls
Yeah, we're just going to send you a $700 model that we paid for out of pocket. That sounds like a thing we'd do.
You land the EF way to fast.
you can land this jet without thrust.
Greets from Austria
Landing it without thrust is a terrible idea.
@@TwoBrosRC i have the v1 and v2 both landig perfectly without trust.or is the v3 total different in construction?
I dont think so...
💪💪💪👍👍👍😍
That's ridiculous on the landing gear time, seems like the synchronizer isn't working. What if you had to land fast you would have to belly land
That's working as intended by Freewing. It's terrible.
@@TwoBrosRC no kidding? That sucks got such an expensive aircraft. Wish it wasn't so much. I'm currently making my own Eurofighter. It'll be 4th time
Now run it on 8s 😂
Probably won't, not a big fan of the weight it would add.
