  • Are you wondering how to get your research paper published in a high-impact journal? There are a number of reasons why one manuscript might be rejected and another will sail through the review process; however, the quality of the writing is often a determining factor. Even a manuscript describing novel and important research may be rejected if the writing does not meet the standards of the journal. In this video, I explain how you can determine your chances and what you can do, writing-wise, to convince a journal that your paper is publication-worthy.

    Sometimes, but I have seen bad writing, and more importantly debatable assertions, in published high impact journals. It got through the available or targeted (suggested by the authors) reviewers. Nothing is perfect I guess

      Thanks for commenting. Yes, problematic papers can get through the review process even at high impact journals.

      Not meant to be scary...just realistic. Knowing your chances of publication is important in selecting the correct journal to submit your paper to.

      can you suggest a journal for publishing Physics papers

    • @ScientificWritingwithKarenLMcK
      @ScientificWritingwithKarenLMcK  2 года назад

      I can't make such a recommendation since 1) I don't know the details of your paper, which are needed to select an appropriate journal and 2) physics is not my field. Instead, I suggest that you search for an appropriate physics journal at sites indexing journals, such as Web of Science (mjl.clarivate.com/home). There is a search option allowing you to search for a journal focused on physics.
      However, another (perhaps better) option is to look at the references cited in your paper and select one of those journals. If you are citing papers published in a journal, it may be a good choice, depending on other factors. See this video for more guidance in selecting the right journal for your paper: ruclips.net/video/t_-VIMJDORw/видео.html
      Good luck!
