Early Format games are gonna make a big comeback with live streaming. I can see Base Set, Gym Heroes and Neo Series specific games being very popular for online viewing.
I thought of getting my friends together to do it with proxies, we'd even make new cards with a retro feel cause I'm part of a DBZ ccg server that does that, as I remember as a kid with Sarah, I never would've made ex cards, but did make new conditions. Freeze: Pokemon can't retreat even with trainers and -30 damage. Curse: Just a useless counter, but if all your pokemon are cursed you lose. Charm: Opponent gains control of a charmed pokemon. She played magic and even said these conditions exemplify casual vs competitive mindsets because curse or charm could be an otk, but stall decks would love freeze. Mind you I think too instead of busted trainers being support, gym oriented trainers have conditions. Like I could see an Erika card that only allows you to draw 3 but requires no Fire or Psychic pokemon in play. Sometimes a better Bill, other times a dead card.
Completely forgot about my own Blaines Arc Typhlo deck. Hope we bring more awareness to older formats. Also loves the GSC soundtrack used, so nostalgic
24:20 Shouldn't Typhlosion have flipped a coin with Flame Burst? Technically you would need to resolve that effect before determining whether the Haunter got KO'd, right? It wouldn't have saved the Haunter either way, but on a heads, Typhlosion would have taken 20 damage, and that means it would have fainted to the next Haunter's attack.
I got you! 4x Cleffa 4x Cyndaquil 4x Quilava 4x Typhlosion 4x Blaine’s Growlithe 3x Blaine’s Arcanine 3x Chaos Gym 2x Gold Berry 1x Focus Band 4x Professor Elm 4x Pokémon Trader 3x Misty’s Wrath 2x Nightly Garbage Run 1x Double Gust 15x Fire Energy 2x Metal Energy
Sabrina's Haunter player: RNG MALD Blaine's Arcanine player: Hold my Metal Energy Also, both players forgot that Typhlosion flips a coin and self-damages on a heads. Not that it would have changed the game outcome any, opponent would get one more prize, but not enough to win.
@@holon_phantom Hey, no worries! You're terrific players. I think I noticed other people commenting on that after I posted, whoops. Just wanted to immediately react to buff your video stats. Stay awesome!
Sabrina's Alakazam is the most powerful psychic Pokémon from the Base-Neo Format. If this card is combined along with Dark Gengar and Neo Destiny Gastly, it can be deadly for many opposing players due to its Pokémon Power "Psylink". I think you know what it does, right?

You're right! My bad!
I guess we have to treat it as if it would've been a tails on the coin flip. Or a heads on the focus band coin flip.
I like the visual format, and as always one of the better narrating. Easy to follow and appropriate sound mix.
thank you, i appreciate it!
I can’t believe haunter got 5 tails then failed the focus band
Yeah it was pretty tragic lol

@@MazterP28 yeah its crazy how expensive the classic cards have gotten
Great video!
Buen duelo
I wish I could use one of my own favorite psychic decks to battle against that Blaine's Arcanine deck but I had to sell all of my cards years ago.
Dang, sorry to hear that

ooh, good catch! we sometimes misplay and it's good that people catch us on it, it makes us better players

I think those decks were made up by 3-time World Champion Jason Klaczynski, right? He was very creative.
Yup that's where I get the lists from

Now i remember why i left Pokémon for a while.
*The Baby Mechanic* 😒
I'll take it over post-Black/White era EX/GX/VX whore cards any day.
