Desktop injection molding machine - for Plastic Recycling

- This short clip shows a full cycle of injecting a phone cover from shredded Polypropylene. As you can see.. there is still a lot to tweak with the parameters to get the covers right, but most of the features work nicely already. I work on this very machine since 2020 and step by step am getting closer to a fully automatic desktop recycling device. Can't wait to share more clips and explanatory material like this one.

Add a flow contol to the nozzel to help with suck-back and get a better flow. Might need a top runner to vent.

You need to get a proper injection molding screw that "shoots" molten plastic into the mold.
Yes, that would fill the mold way faster thats true. This is creating some problems right now with the filling of the phonecover mould

dovresti provare ad aumentare la velocità e/o la pressione di iniezione e aumentare la temperatura di raffreddamento dello stampo. in più dovrei diminuire la temperatura di melt visto che stampi con materiale non vergine. ciao!

What is the injection pressure?
I've noticed that your Instagram and Kofi Links are invalid. Does it mean that you not gonna share with us progress of this project anymore? Are you still planning to share the design files with the community once the project is finished?
Hi :) thank you for noticing me about it, you're right. I forgot to update the links below the videos. They are invalid due to the name change of the channel. I explained more about the name change in an instagram post from a few weeks ago. I updated the links now and the development is still ongoing, so nothing has changed in that regard:) And yes once everything is functional and nothing of the current project trajectory changed, I still plan to do that. I just dont know yet at what price the files are going to be. I need to find some way to finance this project further, thats why it won't be for free like most of the other designs :) Cheers, Manuel

Yes thats right:) Its still in the development stage and I will be trying a new mould very soon. Sth smaller than the phonecover mould, I think this one is going to work much better
