Part One; Legend tell us that
Lismore was named by a holy woman who met Saint Carthage upon her arrival in the area. Her prophesy that Carthage would find a 'Lios Mor' or 'Big Fort' was fulfilled as the monastery town founded by him in 636 A.D. grew to eminence.
