Yeah, he's a giant of a man clad in lustrous silver armor wielding a magical sword and firing blue lightning from his hands... but what of his Storm Bolter? Ammo may be hard to come by in the Warp, but he can use it with no restriction in gameplay so you know he has some available for special occasions. And you'd think that he'd have some saved up for an occasion as special as assaulting Nurgle's Mansion! It's not like even a race as reclusive as the Wood Elves doesn't know what a gun is either, because they hate the Dwarves and frequently fight against Skaven and the Empire. I dunno, as awesome as it would be for Draigo to add another meme to his collection, that one little omission is what makes me doubt it was Draigo. Instead, I bet it was foreshadowing to the Sigmarines.
Okay, but that begs the question then of if the Eternals are "beyond Daemons' ability to kill" - because I'm very much certain they aren't. I'm not talking about dying and being reforged either, I'm saying simply not being killed in the first place. To me, that takes a typical Sigmarine off the list of who it could be.
I'm pretty sure Draigo doesn't have one, going the way of Grey Knight Paladins (like purifiers but better at swordfighting, and they did a bunch of work to basically just be bodyguards for grandmasters and shock troops to the Grey Knights who are shock troops to space marines who are shock troops) who forsake ranged weapons altogether (for some fucking reason) and just go sword and shield. All the art I've seen of Draigo is just his sword and shield. I'd also assume that he'd run out pretty quick fighting daemons almost constantly for thousands of years. In the books I read, ones that featured Alaric, and Garran Crowe, they both seemed to be running low on ammo constantly throughout their respective books, having to take ammo from their fallen comrades when they could, and to make what ammunition they had count. In Crowe's case, they were fighting Slaaneshi forces and the Masque of Slaanesh taking over a world just as the cicadrix maladictum (whatever who cares) opened, and in Alaric's case, fighting a whole forge world that had been corrupted in the warp for 1000 years, though they did have some tech guard and a grandmagos with them (also aided by some tech guard who rebelled against the dark mechanicus) but still. Draigo probably wouldn't have the ammo after all his time fighting, and given his psychic potential, probably didn't need it.
I like to theorize Leman Russ is actually in the warp on a quest to rescue the goddess. I know this is too nice to fit into the 40k universe, but I like to think Leman’s pause was him hearing a message her, and knowing the mission to rescue her was suicidal, even for him. Plus I think it would’ve been cool to see the Space Wolf Primarch interacting civilly with the beautiful goddess, even if not romantically, just him trying to be nice. Assuming he just doesn’t go xenophobia on her, and just kill her outright.
I always liked the idea that Russ was sent into the warp to get one of the "lost" primarchs. Who better to being back one of the two, than the primarch likely responsible for putting him there.
@@DefiantSpurr I reckon he went to go sort out the other Primarchs rather than a Lost Primarch. Seriously there's like 4 other Loyalists in there. You've definitely got Jaghatai and Corvus, Vulkan is a strong maybe and there's probably Dorn in there as well if he isn't dead. Only Loyalists in real-space are dead, napping Lion and Rawbutt Girlyman.
Are the chaos gods in the old world and the chaos gods in 40K basically the same or are they somewhat separate beings? And if they are different beings; which one is “stronger”? Also: HORNED RAT 🎩 🐍 no step on SNEK! 🇺🇸🇭🇰
They are basically the same. This is stated outright in the June 2018 edition of White Dwarf (Which is shown in this video. Make sure to pause the video so you can read the full answer they give ;) )
depends on who you ask, my opinion they are two different beings but both share the same type of form. Korn is war, Nurgle is sickness, Tzeentch is knowledge, slaanesh is lust. Who is stronger goes to 40k by a lot they are beings power by belief after all, having billions of people worshiping you daily gives you a big boost. In fantasy they have maybe at most 40 million followers top. You can see the power difference from how many deamons they can spawn, fantasy you got maybe at most 20,000 deamons 40k likewise can up to a few million deamons.
42 42 Well, you don’t know how many other races in other worlds also worship the fantasy chaos gods. Just as how humans aren’t the only worshipers of chaos in the 40k universe, nor have they always been.
The realm of chaos itself is heavily implied to be the same, but GW has gone out of it's way to try and keep fantasy and 40k away from each other in more recent times. Lesso in the past, however: Not only was the ancient Realm of Chaos books designed to allow crossplay to various levels (especially as this was the era of Rogue Trader, where things were far looser) and there was events where fantasy factions would find relic weapons far beyond their tech level that essentially were 40k relics. Again, though, that was far, far before the series growing more serious, and in particular the End Times itself.
There have been numerous points throughout GW lore that indicate a connection, the strongest of which Remliez mentions in this video (there are also a handful of cases in Fantasy where people perceiving multiple realities see Eldar).
I have been to the realm of Chaos. Well, it wasn't very much a realm of chaos as an Aldi. It was like an elderly orgy of angry Karens and disgruntled Kyles. I was just there for some brioche pre-cut hotdog buns and a bottle of O'Donnells Irish Country Cream Liqueur but I ended up swinging my mighty shopping trolley and cleaving 13 pensioners across the store and into the frozen goods cooler bins.
I have a crazy theory. It's the tin Man. After Dorothy and Toto went into the maze of Tzeench. The tin Man got lost and ended up in the garden or Nurgle.
some people think that fantasy is cut of from the galaxy via warp-storm, some people think 40k is inside a bottle in a wizards tower, i think both, because it explains nearly every retcon.
In realms of chaos, the flow of time itself is convoluted; with heroes centuries old phasing in and out. It's clearly Solaire of Astora who joined in for some jolly cooperation and praising the Sun-Emperor of Mankind! :D
So our boy, went to Nurgle's Villa and made a stink to practice for he'd go after his main mansion and wait until Cegorach chose some Eldar to bust out Isha?
Just an opinion, but I do prefer the idea of Kaldor Draigo being the knight they found. Not because I'm a sucker for crossovers (I am though) nor due to my less than enthusiastic feelings towards Age of Sigmar. My preference comes from the simple idea that the world of Warhammer Fantasy holding the answers to the conundrums of 40K, such as the creation of a new god-like being similar to the emperor without the mass suicide of psykers thing. As well as, that it's essentially a world filled to the brim with the potential of the Warp that acts that require immense resources and artifacts of protection to achieve in 40K are a matter that a single person with a silly looking staff can achieve in Fantasy.
Well the universes are connected because the Skaven found what can be described as a phone of the Old Ones and used it to prankcall some Craftworld Eldar.
Couldn’t be Kaldor that Areloth encountered. How could Kaldor communicate to him that his greatest of enemies are the Gods of Chaos? Maybe psychic suggestion? Or Areloth understands high/low Gothic.
You ever wonder if life in other galaxies worships the same chaos gods? Or are there chaos gods unique to other galaxies? The big 4 certainly seem only to care about this galaxy, but the nids prove that life can exist beyond the galactic rim...
Not sure but I like the idea that the Tyranids were created by Xenos from another galaxy as an anti-Chaos bioweapon before it escaped. Imagine you're minding your own business and then some bunch of aliens rip open a Hellgate and screw up an full galaxy. Of course you'd look at something to try and stop it before it came near you.
I think if you ask Ward, it is Kaldor. I think if you ask anyone else, its a timelost Stormcast who is perhaps at best Kaldor if he was a Sigmar character (so, no more than an easter egg ). GW has made it abundantly clear that there is no connection between the two settings. They have also (via the Gotrek audio books) made it clear the Old World still survives and it can be reached via AoS.
It’s not a bad theory, but I think the stormcast eternal Gardus of the Hallowed Knights is a better fit. He was drawn into the garden of Nurgle during the realmgate wars, where he wandered the garden battling demons and setting fires wherever he went. Hallowed Knights armour is predominantly silver, and they are sworn enemies of the chaos gods. Any stormcast is beyond Chaos’s ability to slay because when they “die” their soul returns to Sigmar to be reforged. Also when Gardus returns to the mortal realms, a fellow Hallowed Knight remarks how his armour appears to be punctured by a spear. Baring in mind that time doesn’t flow linearly in the chaos realms, it is possible a stormcast could encounter a group of adventurous from the world that was.
Could the silver knight be in fact the Emperor. According to the records he existed for longer than civilisation having been created to combat the powers of chaos. Messing with Nurgles plans sounds like an Emps thing to do but he hasn't bothered ascending nor fixing the world into 'earth' for reasons unknown. I presume the strongest warrior of the planet will flex his Psyonic powers and fix this world to grant humans ascendency soon enough. As for the 'rescue' he probably got bored while waiting.
@@Tonatsi depends on the era I presume he can wear whatever he wants. Although there was that one incident where he plated the entire planet in gold so he could exploit his favorite colour as suitable camouflage.......

As stated previously, this is a remaster correcting a number of glaring errors that were in the previous version, as well as general overall improvements (as stated in the video description)
It used to be, that Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k were a shared universe. That the Fantasy world existed somewhere in the 40k Universe. While that idea was scrapped, they seem to have reintroduced it via the Multiverse theory.
it never actually was clearly established or stated - but heavily implied throughout the 3rd edition 40k / 6th edition fantasy. I think it also was remarked on in the old fluff bible that was never intendet for public release but for establishing the common baseline of lore for all the different writers in the setting, then leaked in the early 00s.

Draigo probably wouldn't have the ammo after all his time fighting, and given his psychic potential, probably didn't need it.
as i was listening i felt like id heard this script before. good to see a remastered version of a good story
@@DefiantSpurr
I reckon he went to go sort out the other Primarchs rather than a Lost Primarch.
Seriously there's like 4 other Loyalists in there.
You've definitely got Jaghatai and Corvus, Vulkan is a strong maybe and there's probably Dorn in there as well if he isn't dead.
Only Loyalists in real-space are dead, napping Lion and Rawbutt Girlyman.
dunno about goddesses but he definitely had an in with that cannoness at the gate
Are the chaos gods in the old world and the chaos gods in 40K basically the same or are they somewhat separate beings?
And if they are different beings; which one is “stronger”?
Also: HORNED RAT

🐍 no step on SNEK! 🇺🇸🇭🇰
They are basically the same. This is stated outright in the June 2018 edition of White Dwarf (Which is shown in this video. Make sure to pause the video so you can read the full answer they give ;) )
40K Theories ah, I see.
depends on who you ask, my opinion they are two different beings but both share the same type of form.
So is it ever confirmed that Fantasy and 40k co-exist, even through the warp? Because Draigo seems pretty evident of that.
Yes, I point out several sources confirming that in this video. :)
ILL TELL YOU THAT YOU ICON IS EVIDENCE ENOUGH To SAY NO TO THAT
@@40KTheories Cool cheers!
Felix Argyle I HAVE been to the RoC. In it's own tongue, it is called "Walmart"!
Glad you covered this one again.
I love seeing you get more and more frustrated that no one reads the description.. the schemes and twists of chaos at work no doubt!

Finally some good quality content in that lost sector...
The only person with more plot armor than Kaldor Draigo is Mkoll from the Gaunt's Ghosts books.
I have a crazy theory. It's the tin Man. After Dorothy and Toto went into the maze of Tzeench. The tin Man got lost and ended up in the garden or Nurgle.
Him just on an epic quest to find More WARP DUST !!!

some people think 40k is inside a bottle in a wizards tower,

ORDO DRAIGO, WE WILL PROVIDE THE HAMS-Kaldor Draigo before joining the Elves on their mission
In realms of chaos, the flow of time itself is convoluted; with heroes centuries old phasing in and out. It's clearly Solaire of Astora who joined in for some jolly cooperation and praising the Sun-Emperor of Mankind! :D

'The world that was'
AKA The world with all the fluff and lore and grimdark aspects people wanted out of the fantasy setting.
Remleiz, I've been thinking about this for a bit now, I'm wondering if you think the 4 Chaos Gods could destroy any entity like Drach'nyen?
Well the universes are connected because the Skaven found what can be described as a phone of the Old Ones and used it to prankcall some Craftworld Eldar.
40k and fantasy confirmed to be the same universe again... again
A huge knight covered in silver plate? Sounds like Kitten.

Oh cool. I though I just got a recommendation of the old vid, this is nice.
Couldn’t be Kaldor that Areloth encountered. How could Kaldor communicate to him that his greatest of enemies are the Gods of Chaos? Maybe psychic suggestion? Or Areloth understands high/low Gothic.
Probably he used a combination of psychic communication and suggestion to translate the words/ideas as he spoke, essentially making a translator.
The Chaosgods: "Oh bloody hell now this bloody Grey knight pisses us into the pint in both fcking timelines"
Wait there’s a multiverse.... my brain is broken because Warhammer is complicated
I'm not saying it is Kaldor Drego, but I'm also not saying he wouldn't or couldn't do this either
The old world survives?
HI INNERNET!!!!!
hi
Ground marines before ground marines ?
"Warfare is not exact science....."
The emperor would only ever wear golden armour
@@Tonatsi depends on the era
I presume he can wear whatever he wants.
Although there was that one incident where he plated the entire planet in gold so he could exploit his favorite colour as suitable camouflage.......

Is this a reupload of an older video as I seem to recall watching this before.
As stated previously, this is a remaster correcting a number of glaring errors that were in the previous version, as well as general overall improvements (as stated in the video description)
@@40KTheories ok
It used to be, that Warhammer Fantasy and Warhammer 40k were a shared universe. That the Fantasy world existed somewhere in the 40k Universe.
While that idea was scrapped, they seem to have reintroduced it via the Multiverse theory.
it never actually was clearly established or stated - but heavily implied throughout the 3rd edition 40k / 6th edition fantasy. I think it also was remarked on in the old fluff bible that was never intendet for public release but for establishing the common baseline of lore for all the different writers in the setting, then leaked in the early 00s.
AoS be blessed.
It was a Man of Iron lost in the warp before The Men Of Iron defected. That’s why he was un-killable even though he was pierced strait through.
ya know, i hope they bring back a link between fantasy/AOS and 40k, it could bring back the possibility that sigmar is one of the lost primarch.
