Me and my siblings got thrown out of that church, it was the Elm Church then though, we only went for the chocolates and sweets on Easter and Christmas, and they must have cottoned on and was having none of it. lol
I still have a booklet I was given from Elm church when I was there one sat or sunday, i wrote my name in it, funny to see our own childlike hand writing, The Gospel of John booklet had a smiley face sticker on the front that has the words, "Jesus loves you" on it, and in it i found a little black and white tiny cut out of Paul Micheal Glazer, Starsky out of Starsky and Hutch the american TV program, i must have thought he needed saving? lol
We used to go swimming in those very baths and afterwards we would for to the chip shop on Bournville lane just by the library for some hot scratchings, left on the bottom of the frying pan from the chips and fish in batter, we used to get it for free, but then they got smart and started to charge us for them, 5p I think?
I and my friends had lots of fun splashing and diving in and out of those public baths!
I did not know the history of those lovely old buildings though, so thank you for sharing your findings on your video.
