The blond headed lady has a set of lungs like I have never heard before and full of the sprit of the lord. What a blessing to me in this vally am going through ☺.
Brings back great memories, im 41 now but back in late 80s i would listen to local station WETM for the gospel countdown, bands like the Freemans, Perry Sisters , Quinton Mills,Jeff Easter came to my church, what a wonderful time that was in my life...thanks for posting this.
I love this so much & so happy to see Denice Hopper playing the piano! I miss her!! The 1st concert I went to of their's I was so nervous to get to meet them & I saw Denice & went up to her! Hubby said, you better go meet Connie too! She's been my fave, but I love them all!
I wonder if Rodger Bennette knew he had a Holy Ghost dance. I love watching the Lord move on him dancing in the spirit. Rodger was never ashamed to let God move on him with his glory dancing. I miss him so much. He thrills my soul. Love The Hoppers and The Catherdals. I miss George Younce, Glen Pain, and Rodger Bennette.
Yes, I can tell you because I was at this one. He was home because his heart was not doing good at this time. This was on April 10, 1999 in Greenville, NC. It was a great night with The Hoppers, The Cathedrals, Movin Up, and David Ring preached that night.
So hard to believe that Glen passed away just over 6 months after this was taped. He never looked more alive than he did in this clip. Now he’s more alive than he’s ever been…
at 3:07 she is saying "I can hear 'em shouting oh yeah" at 4:26 she is saying "Oh can you hear 'em. Oh they're all shouting oh yeah!" hope this helps, this is one of my favorite versions of this song too!!!
Does anyone know where George Younce was in this video. I recall that 1999 was the Cathedrals Retirement Tour and that George did take ill on them around the time the Cats did their "Live in Denver" Faithful DVD. Was this after that? At any rate, it pairs the two of the greatest Southern Gospel groups in history and that in and of itself is historic. And does Glen give Kim a run for her money or what! I miss the old man!
He had heart problems throughout 1999 and the Cathedrals did concerts when George's health would allow. This was one concert they schedualed that he could not make it to.
It is impossible to not smile when you see the joy that Glen Payne had every time he sang a song.
Love this song! What an awesome performance. God Bless😊❤
Two of the greatest groups in Southern Gospel music.

Louisville. The arena had such tiny seats. But you didn't need them since you stood most of the evening. Lol
I also want to say The Greenes were there too. But I can not remember right this second.
