Great video Northcoaster Hobby! Very often I meet people who think that in 2022 OTA TV is still analog, but those are the people that are cable or satellite subscribers. They don't know that OTA TV has transitioned to digital 10 years ago. When they cut the cable and buy antenna (mostly rabbit ears or that flat junk antenna) they run an analog channel scan instead of digital, and they think that TV channels no longer broadcast free to air, and you have to pay them. I mostly recommend an outdoor antenna and in some cases STBs. In Europe things tend to be different, Most European countries have switched form DVB-T to DVB-T2 (think of ATSC, DVB-T is ATSC and DVB-T2 is ATSC 3.0 some countries use DVB-T2 HEVC instead of DVB-T2 MPEG4) and a DVB-T2 HEVC STB is mandatory, those who have 4K UHD TVs don't need an STB they must do a rescan. About the people who think OTA is analog, when you help them install an antenna and how to correctly scan the channels they are amazed that OTA channels look better on OTA than cable, same thing applies to satellite television. Cable TV channels tend to have a picture quality loss especially on HD and 4K compared to OTA and satellite.
Hi Just an update for fta satellite There are two new satellites in town, launched by Arianespace Intel sat Galaxy @ 35 and 36 degrees west if things go well they are both c band for tv.
