Pigeons and especially this kind.. Are proper rats, they eat anything, and if there is a rubbish they hang there and eat rotten food out of it.. You can eat the ones you grow at home or in farms but definitely not the wild ones

Strasser Tauben I think was their name. They are so big that their ability to fly is really bad. But they have nearly as much meat as a chicken. Parasites will not survive the heat of cooking. They would simply add to the nutritional value and flavour of the meat.
