Went out to party for 2 weeks in 2000 and ended up staying for 6 months working the bars , after watching your vlog it seems a lot quieter now ,im 51 now and and have always said i will go back one day will look at dooing ao next year thank you

I went to kardemena twice in '92 ..aged 24 it was mainly that age group back then ..there was the main nightclub called STARLIGHT ..and basically loads of bars on the front ..after watching your video as i came across it fortunately ,now aged 55 we will be booking for next year

❤visited kardamena first time october. Been garden bar and portoeye, fab cocktails. Also visited sunbeam, which is stunning sitting there. Stunning island.

Wow, Great to see you back on your adventures ❤ We haven’t done Kos yet, Kardemena reminds me a bit of Sidari on Corfu. Kalymos looks stunning 🤩 Great views ….. as always for Greek islands 😊 I really think you would both love Parga on the mainland…it is beautiful 😻 There’s a little bar called MyPlace in Parga and they give you all types of free meze with every round of drinks….🍹 just amazing 🤩
Yessss Kezza is in the PTG house! It's very similar in all honesty...very British. Our ideal was definitely Kalymnos and we loved it just as much as the last time. Not a can of John Smith's or a union jack towel/shorts in sight. Sounds like you went to an Ouzeri too and we can't fault them. Proper budget travelling tip...if only we'd had known that when we had €14 a day between us after arriving in Santorini last year and the end of the 6 month trip. Much love! X
I've been to Sidari & Kardamena but I'd say Kardamena is better.
With Sidari main strip it's just one big road with shops, bars & restaurants.
With Kardamena there's a fair few paths off each other, beach, harbour where you can on boat trips, plenty of places to eat & drink

Mine, neither. I much prefer Lagos ❤Olhos de agua is nice, but not really a lot there (which I also like).
Went 96.. Not much there at the time, just a row of bars and the Starlight club just up from main square. However I think the Nikos 2 apartments where there then. Im sure I stayed in Nikos 1 above a shop!!. Cant remember too much

Had honeymoon there very quiet resort but nice,beach a bit naff although when we were there the whole mountain went up in flames very scary.
Was that the recent spate of fires? It wasn't long after we came back that it happened. There have been some serious temperatures so far this year!
@ParksTravelGuide no mate was back in 2012 whole mountain went up burning hotels and small chapels. We stayed at a hitel called karda beach but nit there now I believe,it was half way up the road towards the resort. Was great to see you out and about again. Shame u didn't get the catamaran over to marmaris
@jason-uk Ahh right. We were going to get the ferry to Bodrum from Kos town but time wasn't on our side with going to Kalymnos. Such is life.
I left the day it went on fire I was renting a private villa thank god we left because I wouldn’t have a clue what to do or where to go
Hi, how is the situation these days? Is it wise to travel to Kos in 2 weeks? Im a bit worried about the smoke or other impacts of the recent fire.
From what we've heard, normality has been restored a while ago. We travelled in June shortly before the fires so we can't speak for how it is now. The best place to ask will probably be social media groups as there will be people currently there and posting updates. Personally I wouldn't worry, your tour operator would not be sending you if it wasn't safe.
We where there when there was the wildfire & was evacuated. We stayed overnight in a football field by the airport but we where all allowed to return the next morning as fire was almost out. Everything was back to normal when we returned, we just had the firefighters pouring water around the area all day to make sure the fire didn't reignite
