For those who are wondering why D_4 isn't the same thing as S_4: some permutations in S_4 are impossible to be reached just by applying the D_4 permutations. In the case of D_3 and S_3, all D_3 symmetries also belong to S_3. (Sorry for the bad English)
I spent weeks confused on this in my college Abstract Algebra class. This video really helped clear things up!

This is really helpful! I love your voice also!!!
Thanks! Really helped me out since I missed earlier lectures on the topic.
We're on week 8 of modern algebra and I didn't understand symmetric groups until now. Cool.
This was me.
Please do a video on Quotient Groups! and First Homomorphism Theorem!
Wow! Well explained
Now I get it. Thank you so much
Could you make a video about group isomorphism and homomorphism pleaseeeee
I have a video on cosets in the works and then I plan to tackle isomorphisms and homomorphisms.
