Thanks for making the video! Just thought I'd mention though that even though there are USB fans on the market, generally plugging an inductive load (e.g. fan) into a PC USB port is a bad idea. There can be high voltages induced in certain situations (e.g. fan stops suddenly) when the EM field breaks down. Without protection built into your fan project, this voltage has nowhere to go other than into your PC. Granted, most decent computers should have ESD protection chips on the USB ports. However, some may not. Just a word of caution.

From a technical point of view the USB is fabulous. From a design of view and coming from someone that has been IT for more than 20 years, I think they must have been on crack. My point. Make a bloody USB so it can plug into the slot any way up!!!!!!! FFS, Even when you go back to the 60s they had the cables that just plugged in any way. Its like we are bloody going backwards! 2020 just around the corner and it ill be another 5o years for things to change. We are still using the mouse. How long did it take to get rid of floppy disk drives.
