That’s an incredibly big choice for a 10 year old. You’re very mature, and aware of these terrible things. You have my respect for that. I highly advise you becoming vegan. At the same time, try and persuade your family to at least become vegetarian and show them these videos. Show them how much you now and veganism and how and it is to be a carnivore. Being vegetarian is ok, but becoming vegan would be even better.
Makenzie Klugman sadly for cows and chicks it still is harming them, but you are doing the best you can at a young age and you are still making a positive impact! Which is amazing it’s awesome seeing young people like you so motivated to do the best, I went vegetarian at 5 and my parents ended up making me eat sea food for a bit for my health (even though I really didn’t need too) I’m 17 and vegan now and am healthier then ever and I hope you can be vegan when your older too! What you are doing is awesome never forget that!!! Also you can always talk to your parents about getting milk and eggs form local farmers markets and dairies that treat there animals amazingly and love there animals that’s what I asked to do before I went vegan!!
This is so sad. I have been vegan since I was 6 and it's the best feeling to know that other people care and we are all slowly stopping this horrible treatment of animals. We care.

If this makes anyone feel better , in my neighborhood there are wild turkeys that live in the grass and trees since we have lots of nature around us, and they always have so many babies and it’s they’re all so cute 🦃

My girlfriend and I were going to the mall and we saw a truck with cages full of turkeys. My girlfriend started crying and I told her that we should start going vegan instead. She agreed and when we got home hours later we threw away all the meat we had. Best decision ever.

I have the same problem😅 but being vegetarian is better than doing nothing😊. I bet your parents just don't want you to get sick or anything (mines do). I am the only vegan in my family. They are hunters and eat meat every meal. I don't try to change their views. I cooked all the sides this Thanksgiving and two desserts, all vegan. I have only been vegan 6 months but i feel healthier than i have felt in my whole 49 years
So sad, I'm not a vegetarian or even vegan, but still, this is just cruel... Nature is nature and to me, a quick shot to the head is way better than being mauled to death, but come on... Like wtf, there is no more accurate way to describe this than torture.
Don’t worry, it’s all propaganda. Being an agriculture student I know that laws in America don’t allow for this to happen. Things that are bred for people to eat have very strict rules on how they must be kept, fed, and killed. It’s all much more humane than this.
Me and my mum incubated chicken and had 3 females and later that year we adopted a fox bait chicken called Ginger which had her beak cut and she found it hard to eat... They're happy chickens now!

This video is so heartbreaking, yet so true. We NEED to do something about this. Nobody can change this alone. Everyone needs to do their part and stop eating meat. It may sound easier said than done but trust me, it’ll all be worth it in the end. Over 300 million turkeys are killed every year in the US alone. Animals are our friends, and we shouldn’t hurt, kill and abuse our friends. Many of us are brought up to believe that an animal’s purpose is to be eaten so that we can survive and we won’t go hungry. But there are so many delicious plant based alternatives out there, we just need to be open minded and try them out. So many animals are killed each year, whether it’s for leather, fur, wool, milk, skin or meat. It’s not right. Together we can change this, together we can finally help us and our planet. This destruction is reversible, we just need all the people we can find to help make the change. So this January, you can go vegan. There is a challenge called ‘*Veganuary*’ meaning Vegan January. It’s a challenge to try and gradually switch to a plant based diet in January. There are so many vegans out there to answer questions and help you along the way. So this January, go *Veganuary*, because our choices matter.. If turkeys can’t reproduce naturally due to how they were bred, is there a way to raise pet turkeys and make them lighter so that they can walk normally and reproduce naturally once again? I only ate turkey once and for a Christmas dinner. That one at the very least had a good life in my great grandmother’s yard and was a rather old one.
Omg if I never knew I wouldn’t stop eating turkeys without knowing this, but now I do I promise this thanksgiving that I’ll tell my parents and everyone else.

I'm now 32 and I've been vegetarian / vegan for more than two decades and I'm healthier than ever! I’m pretty sure my family would be so skeptical that they wouldn’t even try any of them. My husband isn’t vegan either so he’ll end up cooking some sort of meat. I don’t cook meat for him anymore but he doesn’t mind making it himself so he does. I wish so much that our thanksgiving could be totally vegan but I seriously doubt that will happen.

I haven't had turkey in five Thanksgivings, and my last two Thanksgivings I've brought my own vegan food while everyone else eats their animal dishes. But this year I am hosting a vegan Thanksgiving with my family and I'm very excited! Hopefully they will come around or slowly transition to a vegan Thanksgiving.
@@kimberlyearly8918 You can also make some vegan sides and desserts and I doubt anyone will notice. My recommendations are mashed potatoes (unsweetened almond milk instead of cow's milk), crescent rolls (storebought are vegan, Immaculate or Pillsbury brand), green bean casserole (I use Imagine potato leek soup, green beans, and the normal French onions), then lots of vegan desserts! Last year I made vegan pumpkin pie, just used a storebought crust and had to dump everything for the filling in the blender, pour it, and bake it. Everyone said it was the best pumpkin pie they'd ever had. You can do it!
I have a turkey named fufu and she loves to play around, and eat Cheerios💗wanna know where I got here? Yep I got here from a turkey factory. It's sad I couldn't save all of them,but fufu is very lucky, and I love her so much.

I live on a farm and it’s totally different. Now some farms are like this but mine is not. We put a male turkey with the females and they lay eggs so that’s how are breeding goes. Now we do butcher our turkeys in a very humane way but I’ll get to that. Our turkeys live outside with a gate circled around so no other predators with kill them. When we butcher them we put them in a cone which will stop them from flapping around and cause damage to themselves or us. Hanging them upside down will make them a little loopy and they fall asleep and we cut the jugular vain. This will kill them fast and with little or no pain.

I am the only vegan in my family. They are hunters and eat meat every meal. I don't try to change their views. I cooked all the sides this Thanksgiving and two desserts, all vegan. I have only been vegan 6 months but i feel healthier than i have felt in my whole 49 years

It may sound easier said than done but trust me, it’ll all be worth it in the end. Over 300 million turkeys are killed every year in the US alone. I only ate turkey once and for a Christmas dinner. That one at the very least had a good life in my great grandmother’s yard and was a rather old one.

You could look into Gardein's Holiday Roast and/or Tofurkey's Vegetarian Feast Roast, both of which are fully vegan.

I’m pretty sure my family would be so skeptical that they wouldn’t even try any of them. My husband isn’t vegan either so he’ll end up cooking some sort of meat. I don’t cook meat for him anymore but he doesn’t mind making it himself so he does. I wish so much that our thanksgiving could be totally vegan but I seriously doubt that will happen.

I haven't had turkey in five Thanksgivings, and my last two Thanksgivings I've brought my own vegan food while everyone else eats their animal dishes. But this year I am hosting a vegan Thanksgiving with my family and I'm very excited! Hopefully they will come around or slowly transition to a vegan Thanksgiving.
@@kimberlyearly8918 You can also make some vegan sides and desserts and I doubt anyone will notice. My recommendations are mashed potatoes (unsweetened almond milk instead of cow's milk), crescent rolls (storebought are vegan, Immaculate or Pillsbury brand), green bean casserole (I use Imagine potato leek soup, green beans, and the normal French onions), then lots of vegan desserts! Last year I made vegan pumpkin pie, just used a storebought crust and had to dump everything for the filling in the blender, pour it, and bake it. Everyone said it was the best pumpkin pie they'd ever had. You can do it!

I eat literally eat NOTHING during thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. I eat thanksgiving pizza!
I live on a farm and it’s totally different. Now some farms are like this but mine is not. We put a male turkey with the females and they lay eggs so that’s how are breeding goes. Now we do butcher our turkeys in a very humane way but I’ll get to that. Our turkeys live outside with a gate circled around so no other predators with kill them. When we butcher them we put them in a cone which will stop them from flapping around and cause damage to themselves or us. Hanging them upside down will make them a little loopy and they fall asleep and we cut the jugular vain. This will kill them fast and with little or no pain.
