Ballas’s voice actor is a god. I really felt the ‘But not THEM!’ at 0:49 He didn’t scream excessively like Vay Hek, the line was delivered with such vocal perfection, you could tell he was pissed with those three, short words.
I think what he might mean is that everyone to some extent wants to belong to something. Even the Solaris hold strongly onto eachother as a group and Eudico for guidance and instruction. They didn't want to follow under Nef Anyo, but they still craved leadership and belonging

Erra was leading first but after Scarlet Spear ballas may convince him to unite forces, ballas is too persuasive and convinced Erra to wear Kuva and give him the leadership

One of them had to pretty much almost kill the other four in order for them to put a moratorium on their family drama for five minutes and help the Tenno save Deimos.
It really dose, I've seen conservative and liberal alike (I've been guilty of it too), where they mostly go off what someone else says and I ask myself in my head when I hear certain conversation, "is what your being told matching what is in front of your eyes".
Hell, Ballas' manipulation even worked in the real world! Remember the Chimera Prologue? So many people were on the "forgive Ballas, kill the Lotus" bandwagon, without a single shred of doubt! I thought I was going crazy, like _"how can you trust this man?! He HAS to be up to something, there's no way he isn't!"_
I didn't get why after the ostron abduction scene the deacons started to use veils on the face...in the concept art and in the cutscene they don't, and I much prefer the glowing eyes in the shrouded face. Maybe is how they carry the thing?
I was wondering this too. Also, I can't help but wonder if these Narmer Veils are an evolution of the Corrupted masks with Sentient technology. They function extremely the same with Orokin origins.
I guess it's more that Ballas convinced erra that He needed a figure head to rule the system, as not even the masks could lie good enough to let them be ruled by a sentient. Problem for erra is now, that the shrouded half of humanity worships Ballas, and the unshrouded half would Team up with Ballas to get away from the sentients before turning against narmer. So He is essentially powerless.
This pretty much marks how pathetic Ballas is, the entire Origin System bows to his will, he has the Sentient on his side, he drove the Tenno out of the fight, and he got rid of Lotus, but all he wanted was for THEM to kneel and admit he won. When that didn't happen, he took an even more coward route: Erase the sun and leave the cult he created to rot while he fucks around in Tau. He deserved Erra to turn on him, he, like many Orokin, was a petulant child always seeking for the biggest toys after the last one breaks, and he himself caused his own downfall like the people he betrayed just because Margulis chose the Tenno over him.
I feel for the rest of the system. Everyone else suffered because Ballas wanted to control what he could not: the Tenno. There were three people in this drama that mattered: you, Lotus, and Ballass, and everyone else suffered.
Did not think he died right there, since the new Dax lady is still alive and breathing when her helmet get cracked. Also no one talk about Teshin's death so I just assumed he's alive. Turns out no one really talked about Teshin was because he's dead
I highkey didn't realize that the game barely acknowledged that at all. I didn't notice until I saw him as a Hologram and then I remembered he got his had snapped by Erra.
I kinda forgot about what had happened to him. Erra dropped him and then it just kinda moved onto Natah and Ballas. It’s a shame the Tenno didn’t even say anything, especially after all he’s done for them.
People have been waiting four years for this, the last thing we need is a cliff hanger ending no offense lmao. The man in the wall scene is already cliffhanger enough
Due to a nature of this reality, they both missed it and didn't. To be honest it does look like another stepping stone towards something even bigger, lorewise - it's unclear, what happened to drifter before this quest and it's unclear, where was the operator at the start of this quest, so: Drifter getting out of Duviri, Orbiter loosing orbit, Ordis getting a body/drifter stopping him from self-destruction, Drifter finding an eidolon Lotus, so it is possible that things with implications about time travel and parallel universes can get back to Narmer period. What I would love to see now though, is some Narmer invasions with some of that Narmer loot and to see corpus and grineer doing their best to eradicate fanatics. Maybe even some of them nodes around the sun with freshly introduced heat mechanic, filled with Narmer fleet, trying to stop everyone from taking loot that is still there after the fall of the empire.

An actual war would’ve/should’ve stretch for a few months. And no, I dnt considered past events to be part of the war since it wasn’t a full blown war yet, it was just skirmishes. Difference. They could’ve easily turned all invasion mission to fit this new change of event. Where you join greneers or corpos vs the sentients and such. They could’ve turned arbitration’s and well to shorten this out, they could’ve made all missions from there on all vs sentients. Atleast for a few months. Maybe even make the archons big bosses that’ll spawn here and there. Just saying. They had so much possibilities

From what I remember Erra dropped the leash at the end of the prequel-cutscene, after he slammed Natah/Lotus into a console and ordered her to start the attack. At that time Lotus questioned her motives for helping the sentients as she partly remembered the Tenno and her life as Lotus. My take is that Ballas played the fool to keep Natah in check until he managed to break her entirely with Erra being his servant playing the master.
The ‘what is your command’ line from Erra is when The man in the wall yeeted out of Erra and Erra returned a realised ballas is a dick so helped us. Js

Ballas was honestly the closest villain to take over the galaxy. But failed due to his own ambition.
He got a lot of what he wanted, but he didn't get _EVERYTHING,_ and that was making his Orokin blood boil!
