Thanks for posting this. I used to night ride there 3-4 times a week during the pandemic when no one was around, after work. From Sneath Lane to Sweeney Ridge Trail to the Portola Gate to the Sweeney Meadow Trail to Sweeney Horse Trail to the Gate then back up to Baquiano to Fassler Trail Head, then back up to Cattle Hill, back up Sweeney Ridge trail down Mori Ridge and back up then down to Sneath Lane. It was 17 miles and about 3500 feet of climbing. Brutal but better than sitting home and worrying about COVID. The only thing I didn't ride was Farrallones past Cattle Hill because that thing was too gnarly to ride at night with no one around if I crashed, lol.
Yes! The climb was brutal. I thought it was just me being out of shape. I need to try the whole loop to Cattle hill. You are brave to do night rides. I fear the same thing, crashing with no one around. Safe rides!!
