Yes they were but it started too discolor a bit over the years. And my knobs discolored from golden numbers and letters over to green numbers and letters which is a pretty typical thing that happens to the gold color.
Yeah go for it! And yeah I like the gig Bag. It is a bit thin but if you just use it to put it in your car or whatever it is perfect. When I need more protection I just use my case.
@@20thCenturyMan it is called Fender FET610. There is also a FBT610 but that is for Bass guitars. Pay attention to that😊 there is also a review on YT about the gig Bag!
Your Stratocaster looks awesome dude. I’ve had my Les Paul for about 4 and a half years and I’m starting to notice a bit of wear. I’m digging every bit of it.
@@rudemooddudehamburg While guitars that are pre-relic’d by companies are divisive in the guitar world. Guitars that have genuine wear and tear are just plain cool no question about it. You brought up the area of your Stratocaster where you rest your being among the first to wear. It’s the same thing for me. Its not as glossy around where I rest my arm for my Les Paul.
I was waiting for this! I will send you some Bilder auf Insta. My fretboard is seriously dirty from the nitro build up. That’s my only criticism of this guitar - the sticky neck. I am undecided about sanding the neck to a satin finish. Maybe!
Good updates. I have some nitro guitars and it’s really interesting to see the aging process in real time
Glad you like it!
Nice . Workingman's guitar . Honest bumps and dings from gigs .
Yep. Pure work and LOTS of playing on this one😊
I just picked up the 60th anniversary 54 reissue, hoping to see some aging like this. Were the knobs and covers originally off-white?

I'm about to get a nitro finished stratocaster. This video is great! Now I know what to look forward to. That gig bag is nice, by the way.

@@rudemooddudehamburgwhat is the name of that gig bag? I would like to buy one on the Fender website but they have such a variety.
