Steam validation rejected Fix (only HL1)

and please don't ask me about css or other half-life 2(source engin) related games on this video. how ever for css i think theres a number that you should change in the console, i don't remember so just google it.

this will also allow your server to be list on the server browser on steam(try this: lunch your server and look for him on the server browser(not LAN cuz you server will be listed here with your local ip:19x.16x.x.x) if its listed then try to connect and if it doesnt allow you then its your router.

All i am trying to do is fix the error message that i get when i try to log onto a server from the server list in the hidden game. i dont have a dedicated server folder like you, i just want to know how to fix the steam validation failed error that i get when i try to connect to a server

what do you by "steam_appid map"?
this video isnt about maps.
this is ONLY about Dedicated Server(if you use yours....on Steam)
if it doesnt exist, just create it(.txt file) and put the number.
ex:
your account/dedicated server/cstrike>create the file and name it steam_appid(no capitalization) and put the number 10
the same thing for the other games within your dedicated server(just change the numbers)

i think the "Steam_appid" file in the cstrike folder within counter stike1.6 mathes to the "GameInfo" in cstrike folder within counter-strike source.
open it and look the SteamAppId and ToolAppId
SteamAppId 240
ToolAppId 211
the same for the cstrike in your Source DS
may be the probleme is the"GameIfo" file

hey my friend i saw these steps a thousand times but my problem still unsolved :/.I did all the steps but let me tell you that my csstrike folder is not in the dedicated server folder.I dont have dedicated server folder :/....Help me pls i want to play cs 1.6!!!

if you have Steam go to "LEBRARY" then " TOOLS"
Install it and youre done

No need to worry.. after a cup. of tries a dislay message displayed "Your server is out of date, please restart..." came up 2 times, so i restarted DEDi 2 times then it worked!

HALF-LIFE2> CCS and Source DS dont need a "steam_appid". i dont have any problem with that.
