  • FARI - AI for the Common Good Institute, in collaboration with the Machine Learning Group (MLG) of Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), is working with the Brussels-Capital Region on an innovative traffic modelling project as part of the local Digital Twins initiative. This 12-month project focuses on the Tulipe neighborhood in Ixelles, using real-time and historical data to create virtual representations of traffic systems. By leveraging data from partners like Brussels Mobilité, STIB/MVIB, Paradigm, Osiris, and ETRO-VUB, the project aims to optimize traffic flow, reduce congestion, plan roadworks more efficiently, and minimize the city's carbon footprint, promoting smarter, more sustainable urban management.
