Ive grown an appreciation for this band over the years.. always came back to them for the song crafting and performances.. with so many garbage metal acts out there thank fuck for this seemingly undervalued group.
Their sound should motivate the audience to tear apart each other in bloody brotherhood. Instead of that they prefer to watch as if they are listening to a lecturing.
Question about fill in musicians, like Jordan Mancino on the drums in this case. How does the drummer (or whatever instrument it may be in a given situation) learn all the chops for each song. Do they learn and practice every song over and over (in addition to learning their own bands songs)? Seems like that would take a long time.
You'd be surprised how much and how fast you can learn and retain songs, especially at the level of guys like Jordan where playing your instrument is at least your part time, if not full time job. To answer your question though, the process is simply constant repetition on your own with recorded material and then rehearsal with the rest of the band to iron out live performance timing that may differ from the recordings. I don't imagine learning a 45 minute set took him more than 2-3 weeks of everyday practice if not less.
AttilatheThrilla their current drummer named Nick has been with them for some time now. He had to sit out this tour/festival season because he had back surgery. He’s back now though.

Ever since AILD went down in flames. this has been my go to metalcore band. This band was Huge when i seen them at mayhem fest like 5 years back.
