I have a 2022 Carnival SX in Flare Red. It has 49k miles on it already and it is an amazing vehicle. You should have compared SX to SX, but I assume the dealer didn't have an SX Carnival. They are harder to get than the EX.
@@VagabondBuilds I think so. Carnivals are just starting to become known. In fact, two days ago, just couple of hours apart, I was in traffic with other Carnivals. People do ask me in parking lots what kind of "truck" it is. I tell them KIA calls it an MPV, a minivan designed to resemble an SUV. As you showed, the inside is cavernous. I actually keep a grabber in the back to reach things. LOL
Haha, niceee! Yeah, you are right. SX for Carnival was nowhere to be found at my local dealership. But the idea is for other viewers to see how they compare in case they are deciding between these two cars from Kia.
I just saw this. I got a 2024 SX Prestige 7 passenger version Carnival. Ordered last Feb, Received in May, delivered at MSRE!). Found a hungry dealer w/ a newbie! Typical dealer markup for prestige was $5K back then, I have 8K miles now. About 6K is highway, 3K w/ a 2K Lb motorcycle trailer. LOVE THIS CAR!! Adaptive cruise at 75/80 MPH in the newly forming cross country truck caravans (NO COPS!!) is a total dream. Lane keeping is near perfect on well marked highways. At 75ish I get 26MPG.. I use 93 octane from Sams Club at near regular price. 93 smoothness is amazing. Give it a shot. Gained 3MPG plus one Overdrive (OD2) gear (2150 RPM) with 93 (Lost 4MPG w/Trailer at 75 Cruise). Regular 87 seemed bumpy... not a ping, a bump! This engine has dual injection which precludes carbon buildup, Facilitating Detonation.Destruction on some earlier GDI engines. Lost 3 MPG with the Trailer at 75MPH. You may not notice the bump w/o trying at least one tank of 93. For it to really smooth out took a second tank. Can't say enough about the smooth ride... literally the smoothest ride ever.. totally impressed. Is this level smoothness standard these days? Does this thing have magnetic shocks? I don't know, but it's obvious. Feels pretty special but could be an unadvertised SXP thing. The SXP Bose Audio system is awesome!! "No Highs, No Lows, Must be Bose" doesn't apply here!! Not a true Audiophile, but this Audio is Very Worthy. NEVER a Body RATTLE , Squeek or Squeel anywhere!! Near Silence!! Wind noise management! Heard "Silent Glass" somewhere. Underneath the chassis as well. Solid, fully stressed/analyzed/simulated/proven CAD design. The suspension/chassis remains dimensionally accurate. Tires Do NOT SQUEEL in HARD corners. Totally Impressed!!. If some mechanism breaks might get pricey, but with the awesome guarantee, I couldn't resist! Toyota and Chrysler and for that matter BMW and Mercedes need to take note. This New Carnival sets the standard. @@VagabondBuilds
One Warning.. Do NOT Trust the Adaptive Cruise (Stop) in intense Quick response situations!! There are three modes: Cruise, Cruise with Stop (Whatever HDA is??) AND Lane Keeping! Once you learn these and their limitations (verify the proper mode is ON and recognize when it looses lock) then it's totally "Trustable Enough" to be very Useful (City Traffic stop and Go AND the HIGHWAY). Also, in winter, clean your camera lenses.. things get fuzzy with road salt. Enjoy the Ride, getting there is secondary
I think you missed the two most important things I came here hoping to find out... With the Carnival you can remove the 2nd row of seats and fold down the 3rd row and fit a 4x8 sheet of plywood flat on the floor. Can you do that in the Telluride? I don't think so but you didn't tell us. Regarding the engines. The Carnival has both port and direct fuel injection which prevents carbon build up on the intake valves. Unlike the Carnival the Telluride says GDI on the beauty cover; Does that mean it has no port injection and only direct injection? Again you didn't say. What a shame.
Really sorry about that, because we do spend quite some time when creating a video like this. We now know better for next time . Thanks for pointing those out .
Honestly this video was disappointing it made the carnival look horrible as someone who is excited to get my first minivan this made me depressed instead not a good look for a sale
2024 Kia Telluride SX

2024 Kia Carnival EX

Great review - but I kept getting hung up on and distracted by the reviewer saying Counsole instead of Console. Was driving me crazy!
Haha you aren’t alone!
