The music is too complex for most modern heads to get, but us old schoolers who dig fusion and acid jazz understand it. Weather Report, Jeff Lorber, Jaco Pastorius....you can hear the influences.....even Prince during his jazz/funk instrumental phase
@@hoost3056 funny enough I came to know their music through much more modern avenues. Metal bands like Animals as Leaders led me into progressive jazz like Sungazer and Knower, and then I came to love Mohini Dey as a musician. Without a doubt those more modern artists were listening to or inspired by the OGs you mentioned!
Ohmfg! What a ride that was! 🤘🏼🤘🏼 Killer song n buncha baddies behind those innocent instruments! Glad this Criminal activity was recorded! Khoob bhalo! Will greet you guys whenever I am in Kolkata! Cheers!!
My idea is that the music is like more for musicians or a heavy dose of technique than what might a person would enjoy that doesn't play that much or at all. It is like progressive or fusionesque. I mean musicians can check it but everyday people may be like 😮. Ijs
All three of them are amazing. But... with a drummer and bassist playing together like that, you could put anyone halfway decent on a y instrument with them and it would sound fantastic. They're the core of this sound
It’s a crime that so few people have seen these videos or heard this music

Yup, how the F can she play like that....there's only a handful of bassists even close to her IMHO
sounds like its inspired by the solo Tal Wilkenfeld played live with jeff beck many years ago...
She is simply from another world!! Sur Nose Approves!
Drummer is Clean 🧽!!!! 🥁
Saw you on Beato, I love you’re playing
I just found you guys on Instagram. This is sick. I played bass in a billion bands and I always wanted to be in one like this. Keep it up.
