    How to use a Japa mala, or meditation mala? In this video, I share with you the traditional method for using japa mala (meditation beads), for meditation, with the exact rules from the ancient vedic tradition.

    I was about to use a japa mala for prayer -meditations; your video is a God-sent one especially since I was clueless of the rules. I just thought we hold the mala with either one of the hands and start meditating. Thank you for saving me from a grave mistake! 🙂🙏

      @@MeditateWithRishi Dear Rishi, I completely forgot that I can't bring the japa mala in contact with the index finger! Instead, I got myself into the wrong thought that I should avoid the middle finger, and not the index. Somehow, I felt something was amiss and re-watched this video. I feel doomed realizing my mistake!

    You speak with conceptual clarity and seems authentic in expressing ideas. After watching this video I realised my errors in counting the beads. Few questions;
    What’s the difference between wearing Rudraksh Mala in neck and wrist? Can one do OM chanting more than 51 times? How one gets inward when mind chatter stops in Dhyan? If meditation is achieved, it means brain have no thoughts at all! then being ‘inwardly’ is again a thought-filled mind.
    I watched your video of celibacy, too, and thought to know more from you.
    Thank you

      Hi Anand, not sure about Rudraksh mala question. For om chanting (per session) I would say that loud/verbal chanting 10-20 times is enough. You will feel it is enough, when you feel calmer and have less thoughts than when you sat'. Besides that mental chanting can be done as much as you want. But yes, when meditation is achieved then it means no thoughts. But thinking that 'I have no thoughts' is also a thought 😂. So with continued practice that thought also should not come, but there is no way to control it. There we have to give up control & let go & trust. It's difficult because in normal life we try to control everything, so naturally that transfers to meditation. Hope that helps. Keep practicing consistently, thats all. If you ever want to talk then just FYI you can book a call with me on the website. 🙂

    @MeditateWithRishi , May I ask, what are, as I don't see yours having them/one, but I have a migraine, so I can't really see anything Lol, the hanging tassels used for or is that esthetics?. Thank you for this Extremely informative and helpful information🙏. I am moving to another State, middle of August. I went on a retreat, last July and fell in love with it, met my Trauma Specialist, in person, (I use Transpersonal Heart centered hypnosis), learning there, how to meditate, falling over, doing/ & using, my first yoga mat😅saw Mala beads, got some Crystals, (have more now), got very much into the store, Vollitn, where I bought my necklace, the Star of David, Smokey Quartz, for Calm, etc, like everyone else had, except different stones and shapes, meanings. I'm not religious, though love the teachings of Buddhism, all types. I ❤ to meditate, though, still at the level, where I need guided. But, Yoda Nidra, is my go to. I've learned so much, my Trauma Specialist is a yoga & teacher, meditation and we do virtually, Trauma Yoga- I believe it's called Hatha?!. So I'm going to heal in peace. I would love to know more about the Ruddra * Malas and different types. If you're willing. Thank you kindly for this opportunity and guidance. I've never asked before. I'm just starting my collections, for my new place, getting my crystal beads, for my arms and yes, my seats to meditate and some props. I haven't any. I made my own lol I'm so excited. It's the Best feeling. I have fears, I can't get to, so I have to use the Nidras, bc I'm so deregulated. I know an illusion, but feels Terrible. I truly believe, I'll have one happy life and enjoying your channel, very much throughout. Maybe a course, something, when settled🙌. I'm not working, so it's a tad discouraging. Thank you. Blessings to you 🙏 ✨ 💛

    Hello friend, I really enjoy your teachings, I can tell you have downloaded information from the universe. I’m left handed so should I use my left hand to hold the mala? Thank you for your love of bringing people to The Path of peace and oneness. Namaste 🙏

      Hi Kenny. Your words are very kind. Glad you appreciate the content. My answer is simply my opinion - yes there is a traditional way of doing things. But the point is to do them with love instead of being tied down by rules and regulations. So personally I don't see any harm in doing it with your left, it's just practical, and the masters will be happy that you're practicing lol, not making judgments about which hand you're using. So go for it.

    One small suggestion. Instead of placing mala on middle finger, try to place is it on ring finger & then use thumb & middle finger to pull down inside. There is one Sanskith Shloka i can't recollect but it says if you right way, you ll get some siddhhi / Bhukthi.
    Ghomukhi is not an optional part to be honest but a must. Probably its because so many kinds of mala can be used for various purposes & the extraa beads store something!
    I understand in being practical in today's world but diluting it too much may make some ancient wisdoms disappear some day. When you are spending Kaal (time) you are trying to near something which is inside & not in temple. Japa preferably shouldn't be used to calm mind alone as there are many more ways to get it. Even holding positions vary with time like morning to other times & purpose. Also for IshtDevatha few exceptions there.
    It will become a book if I keep writing.
    I wish you all the best.
    Happy to see your cute friend alongside this Video. Apologies, but I had skip this video Halfway.
    Take care
