Yep, just pulled a 6* Soul for Aphidus... now if only I had an Aphidus :D pretty sure that soul cemented it so that I never pull him
I have 6 stars for mezomel and galathir and I know dam right that I will never get them
I hope not because that means I'll never pull a Sigfrund (though it's kinda unlikely anyway after having just pulled my first two mythicals)

That's Plarium's ploy to ensure you spend hundreds in primal shards to try and match that soul with Aphidus himself. I know this because I have 6 star souls for five mythicals and haven't pulled a single one of them in 3 mths and i've probably dropped $1000USD in this pathetic chase.
I pulled Aphidus and had no soul for him, I think I sold it before for soul coins since I didn’t have him and he wasn’t good anyways. Now I have him and he’s buffed.
Pulled aphidus & mezomel in back to back pulls about 6 weeks ago. Also pulled a star soul for Frolni. Was super disappointed when i pulled at the time, but actually excited now. Cant wait to see the vids on the others!
Blisterbug Horde says it PLACES a HP burn if there is not one there however it appears to be it is still limited by weak hits (and thus poison cloud).
the reason why Aphidus does more dmg when paired with whisper is because whisper is getting you exposed necks much faster, so aphidus is now doing is massive hit on necks instead of heads. It has not much to do with having another burner or not.

This isn’t completely correct removing a second HP burner gives him more damage because the way it is coded is the champion who originally places the HP burn is the one who gets the credit for the damage I would know because earlier today I was testing him and I have two of him. I was using them both at the same time and I noticed that my weaker but faster one was doing like triple or quadruple the damage that my slower, but much stronger one was doing. I would use my faster one to land the HP Burns, and then I would use my much stronger one to blow them up with his. A2 and he was doing about 350,000 damage across-the-board but then after the arena match ended, it showed him doing like no damage
That’s a nice combo! Interesting results as well. Looks like he would be a good pair with Rathalos is the spot where Whisper is seeing as he would enable the Rathalos damage boost
Exactly what I have in mind! I'm also wondering how Aphidus would go paired with Aphidus (I have 2)
Just got him this weekend; I think the reason why he jumps with the A3 is that if he applies the burn, he decreases the enemy defense courtesy of his passive (3% decrease when he applies a burn).
Time to pull Aphidus out of the vault. I have five good Merciless to put on him, Slayer Crit Rate Gauntlets and I'll add Pinpoint accessories. I have 10 books for him also. Now I just need to do the upgrades during artifact Event and put on his books during the Champ improvement event. The game's buffs for him should be live after that. Thanks Nubs.

Ive been using him ever since the buff. Not just in hydra either, demon lord spider, event dungeon, doom tower, live arena, ice golem paired with ratholos helps too
Pulled 2 toshiro and 1 aphidus from remnants pull up to now, should be set for hydra now!
Love this, cant wait to try my aphidus in hydra once this drops. Ive regeared him as he wasn't worthy of my decent gear before. Just need some souls (pulled a 6* laz soul wish they had a swap shop 😂)
I have never been dissatisfied with Aphidus so the buff is icing on the cake for me
Also the passive reduces defense over time, and he buffs with increase attack, so he does so much indirect support
Are you pumping out a video on mezomel and frolni as well? Curious to see how "improved" it really is. I worry mezomels base form a2 damage increase and 15% ignore defense wont be enough umph.

@@fidelsyrianoudis lol yeah, gonna be awesome, the thing about rath is that he needs so much to function well, and then when he does its still really hard to control or just random when he does really good damage, so even though they combo well, it feels like burns are just there to make Rath make up for his weakness

THOR level damage is disappointing vs a Fusion and vs the free Ninja. Needed hex or block buffs or some additional utility

I have their 6 star soul with crushing rend , he will be bonkers . On other hand why don't you test him in other areas like arena , dt and dungeons?
I can do that too, wanted a dedicated hydra vid first cuz otherwise it ends up hella long
If crushing rend, don't put any ignore def gear. Just get the stats!
@@gkar9757 That's exactly what I'm doing, I put him on Relentless + Perception, also I have all the area bonuses for Hydra, but I just want to know if he has any chance on Arena.
@@JulianGMID1he won't be meta for arena. He has no additional survivability and his DMG form is susceptible to lockout. Also to really enable his dmg he needs burns, you going to run him with a Gizmak? I'd argue Gizmak is already a great nuker and the Aphidus slot would be better served with another support.
@@dukekessler6292 I just want a test there just to see how it performs, but yes he's not viable on late game arena , maybe on early stages could bring something but that's it

I've run him with rath pre buff of course, for a few weeks, at least mine do sort of the same amount of damage, but yes the combo is strong
@jacoblauritsbesenbacherkje4844 my current brutal team runs Rath, whisper, and sulfuryion. Thinking of swapping whisper for aphidus to test after the buff. But aphidus getting that passive buff from placing the burns might make it better to replace sulfuryion instead.
@@ZeroLivesRemain i think they wanted him to be a hybrid support /dmg dealer, and he kept the support, and buffed him to the point where he deals actually good damage
If you can manage without the res, then sure use sulf in another team :)

Lol, I have seen so many people saying he won’t be useful in arena at all because of the set up and everything else I have been using him in arena a lot today and one of the coolest things that I noticed was you don’t even need defense down or weaken because he is ignoring so much defense already if you just replace your typical defense down and weaken champion with an HP burn champion he will basically do the same amount of damage if not more than if you were to have used a defense down and weaken champion💀💀💀💀 in high tier gold five I have been hitting for about 250,000 to 300,000 damage PER TARGET

These videos are worthless for those of us that still haven’t pulled our first mythical champ. I just don’t give a F about mythical buffs or mythicals in general until Plarium makes them more accessible

That's kind of a generic pain point and has nothing to do with Mythicals in general, as it applies to any video with any champion someone doesn't have, epic or Legendary, and even if it broaches content that someone can't do or is unable to complete currently.
They definitely aren't worthless, because any video has insight as far as build methods, a champ with similar kits to another can be use as info to build, or just plain theory crafting.
If someone is limited to making videos that resonate to 90% of viewers, we'd have stale core dungeon videos consisting of rares and epics.
Want insight on a specific champ? Though luck, it's doesn't help other viewers. Have fun with the twenty fifth tutorial of farming Dragon 20 with one epic and all rares.
I earned 24 red shards before the last 2x by hunting them down and pulled my 2nd mythical. Both earned. None bought
