Damn, that looks pretty good. I always have a hard time making the large ships look visually interesting but you're great at it. As for ideas, I think a ship that size is going to want bow thrusters for sure, maybe even a full set of lateral thrusters for maneuvering into port and such? Also instead of that huge chunk of weight blocks you could probably set up a fluid ballast/stability system that automatically adjusts how high it sits in the water as well as fore/aft tilt and starboard/port list so it can handle waves and such too.
@@ProfNCognito Yeah, I'm just thinking you're going to want to adjust how high it sits in the water and how heavy it is as you add or remove oil especially if you do asymmetrical tanks or fluid loading. Also I just kinda want to see a fluid ballast system done right cause I've never been able to make it work 100%. ;)
Loved the video @ProfNCognito! Can't wait for the next video man! Most Tanker and Container Ships today usually top out at 23 Knots (26.45 mph). I do have an Idea Though, If you remember that there were 3 Ships Lost during the 1982 Falklands War (HMS Sheffield, HMS Coventry and the Atlantic Conveyor). The Atlantic Conveyor had a Helipad behind her Superstructure, if you could try and Move the Superstructure on the "Rogue Wave" Forwards Enough to Allow for the Addition of a Helipad, you might be able to have some space for a few things! See, that's what they get for ordering a Star Link! 🤣Great video man, Mike is building a giant diving ship (shocker) to build on the underwater oil, but I like the idea of building off the rig and then transporting it. Let me know if you need manpower to help!
Looks pretty good! I would recommend instead of a flat porthole bridge make it a o curved up front facing window but like the slash / kinda like that it would make the top more 3D and give better visibility. Besides that it’s pretty good
It's been a while since I haven't touch the stormworks. The reason why I not attracted to stormworks anymore is because they changed the way nuclear fuel works like uranium required for fuel in career which kinda upset and they didn't have an option like spawning fuel involved cost higher than buying the new fuel which is totally fine with that. 😟
@@ProfNCognito Can't wait for that either hehe 🙂 Speaking of that, i started editing my video of our Multiplayer SW game yesterday night. I'm hoping to be close to done with it tonight unless you wanted to record some more, i might be available for some recording tonight after work. Let me know 🙂

Maybe you should christen the boat Rogue Wave, eh? (c: Looking forward to seeing how this will play, hopefully better than mining in terms of viability...
Everyone in their careermode: *builds stuff for the oil update
The devs probably: you have to make a new save for the update to work

Bow thrusters are a good idea. I'll probably remove weight blocks as I add engines and other things to it. Just needed them for the initial ballast.

love this tanker
I built a tanker that requires atleast 2 people to prevent flooding of the hull though it is very back heavy

What happened to the tank build challenge?
It got put on the back burner until I can get all the guys to battle with them. That was the original plan. I'll try and figure out a winner soon. 🏆
