Listen to the benny king version oh my goddd it’s the best version of this believe me
@@aestheticsbyjasmine940 -- I just did. The passion and heart that Tom brings to this song just wasn't in it . 😐 Now I love Ben E King... but this is Tom's song. He paints a story with every song he sings. Tom's voice on this song is simply incredible! ☺
@NailsbyJasmine i listened to the Ben E King version & it was no doubt good but Tom Jones version is much better in my opinion.
Yes Tom Jones never failed to totally captivate❤️watched all of his shows👏👏👍👏👏👏
@@Cin2023 absolutely right😁
Tom is arguably the best male pop singer of all time.
This incredible man will be 81 and is currently doing The Voice UK, by god that man can still sing. Incredible.
❤😊🙏🙏
Their is and will only be one Tom Jones absolutely!
Tom is singing live with a whole orchestra behind him. Live.
I love this man. He is 83 and still singing strong.
Impeccable timing, perfect phrasing, raw emotion, all delivered with seismic power. It's Tom at the top of his game.
THIS IS TOM JONES was his variety show where he had a lot of different guests. He disregarded the censors of the day who told him not to get too close or look into the eyes of Black female guests on his show. Some of his guests were Aretha Franklin, Lola Falana, Tina Turner, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder & tons more. Just type in his show & get a mixture of his talent. You won't be disappointed.
I was only 9 when I 1st heard him but I remember...
Live No Autotune
Nothing but pure emotion & Honest Talent
This song & his style of singing is meant to just reach right out & touch your heart & soul & give you chills.
Sir tom Jones even at 80/81 can still sing with this amount of power & purity in his voice..
Thank you So much for sharing your reaction to this
This is a powerful performance and vocals are amazing no one can ever achieve his status
You gotta RUclips Jennifer Houston react with him on The Voice UK. She acts like a school girl fan in complete admiration for this legend who can still sing at 80yrs young.
Jennifer Hudson. And yes, she does.
Their duet.."It's A Man's World"...!!!!!!
Thank you for featuring one of the greatest voices to ever grace a piece of vinyl. Tom's power and range is unequaled. An amazing talent.
As a young girl, I never, never missed an episode of Tom Jones' show. Great singer, dancer, and SEXY beyond belief. Years ago on vacation in Acapulco, Tom Jones entered and had dinner with his entourage. I almost fell out of my seat turning around to stare at him. Yow, what a man!
One of my favourite singers, he was and still is a legend, this song makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up 👍
Im welsh and sir Tom Jones is a GOD
OMG!!!!! That is a frickin VOICE!
He’s a Welsh legend. 🏴
Gives me goosebumps EVERY time i hear him sing this song💖
yessssss
Tom lives to sing and sings to live! What you see, is, what you get!❤️🙏😎🎼🥂🍾🌟
Thx for reacting to greatness. Tom is THE alpha male. His voice transcends time. If only the artists of today had 1/10 of his talent. I want to hear music of today but sadly they can’t do this. Gotta go back in time to witness greatness.
Tom Jones has a voice for all times. Check out, "I'll Never Fall In Love Again", "Delilah", "Green Grass of Home" in that order. Tells a story.
Wow, never thought of that!!
Do yourself a favor and listen to this song straight through without interrupting it.. it’s powerful.
Yes, Tom Jones was that big in entertainment. He played 10,000+ seat arenas just like the Beatles, Stones, and other big rock acts in the sixties and seventies and became one of the highest paid performers in Las Vegas in the 70's along with Sinatra and Elvis. He had a resurgence with his version of "Kiss" [1988] and the Reload album [1999] and continues to perform. In 2010 he released "Praise and Blame" which was another new direction and won critical and public acclaim. He followed with "Spirit in the Room" and "Long Lost Suitcase" winning similar approval. Now 80, he is a coach on The Voice UK, part of that show for nine of its ten years. He often performs along with the other coaches or spontaneous solos as part of the show and has a new album "Surrounded by Time" due out April 23. He is something!
And that new album went to Number One in the UK making him the oldest singer ever to have a Number One album in the UK!
I was in the Welsh Gaurds Choir and we had to sing with him on his show one week absolutely fabulous time and a lovely down to earth man
My favorite song by Tom J.
This man akways makes my spine tingle with the emotion in his voice.
What is unusual + amazing is that today he is I believe 83 yrs old- +’sounds exactly the same! The power, the range, the gorgeous vocals, the sexy sound included- is still as strong+ powerful as it was when he was younger. That’s so rare! His singing is off the charts! It’s a shame his personal life was so deplorable!! He was blessed with a loyal, loving wife. So sad he didn’t” treat her right”!👩🏻🦳🤗
Tom Jones is the only person I've seen that could sing toe to toe with Wilson picket.....even James Brown was mesmerized by Wilson picket.
When that drummer kicks in, he's feelin' it.
That's what it's rally all about, in my book.
He and Elvis were best friends. Tom Jones would show up to Elvis Las Vegas shows and do a song with Elvis and Elvis would be in the audience and Tom would announce that Elvis was in the audience and Elvis would come on stage as well. They vacationed together with their wives and family in Hawaii, the Bahamas. Very close
Very good singer
One of most powerful And most versatile singers in the.world
I watch the show it was great he had a beautiful voice.
Yes, we watched his TV show in our home. My mom kinda had the hots for Tom, heh heh. I was just a kid, 10 or 12 yrs old. Here's what I remember most about this show. 1. His pants were always impossibly tight! And they showed off his tushy, which my mom commented on (and that was very uncharacteristic for her). 2. The opening of the show always showed him behind a sheer curtain, and you could only see in silhouette, and there was always a woman with him, who he would kiss before he walked out onto the stage from behind the sheer curtain. I don't know if it was his wife, or just a woman, as it was always in silhouette, but it was a little bit sexy, which set the tone for the show and for his persona.
What a great voice Tom has but then again he's welsh and the Welsh have great voices. Another fantastic Welsh singer who sang this same song and a friend of Tom's is Shirley Bassey, check it out.
o wow didnt know that
Dame Shirley Bassey
I saw him sing this live in 2004 and almost lost it. It's one of if not the best version of this song. I've seen him 8xs in concert. If you get a chance to see him in concert, you need to.
ELVIS AND TOM WERE GOOD FRIENDS ELVIS WAS 5 YEARS OLDER.
LISTEN TO TOM SINGING ILL NEVER FALL IN LOVE AGAIN
Check out Tom (now in his eighties) recent live performance on The Voice "CRY TO ME"--will blow you away!
I remember the Tom Jones show. I was 13 or 14 or so when he had the TV show. Yeah, he was good
True/ raw talent! No one no how even comes close! No comparison to ANYONE this day!❤️
I was a young teenager during his show. He OWNED the stage.
He’s got an incredibly powerful voice. I saw him live in 1993 at the MGM Grand in Vegas. At that point, he’d already been around for 30 years. He was huge in the e 60’s and early 70’s. He’s the singer who did “It’s Not Unusual” that Carlton danced to in “Fresh Prince”.
In his Vegas show he also did “Kiss” by Prince and “Are You Gonna Go My Way” by Lenny Kravitz.
Loved watching your reaction! My mom loved Tom Jones and I recall being very small and watching him on TV, even at a very young age I could see why she was drawn to him. Definitely a star, such a talent. Makes me happy to see younger generations experiencing him and appreciating him!
Yes he deserved his own show, women used to throw their knickers at him on stage. Please do some of his other songs. Delilah, Green Green Grass Of Home, Without Love to name a few. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Check out Delilah that Tom Jones does.
Tom is a huge star, Elvis Presley named him as one of his favourite singers...he is still going strong with a wonderful voice in his eighties.
So wonderful, glad I was around . He admired black artists. He's own the voice UK and he and Jennifer Hudson sung it's a man's world, they were just having fun and it was so good. Shout out to Jennifer Hudson, she can hang with Tom Jones. It was so good. I recall so many performances of years gone by. There's always been blue eye soul artist. Today that would be robin Thick etc. God Bless, Everyone. Oh I'm 67.
Tom Jones is from away, but we love him here in America too.
❤Sir Tom Jones is KNOWN as The Legend no ine else like hime ...best song Never Gonna Fall In Love Again he is 25 or so he is 83 today still going string a judge on the Voice❤ you reaction was spot on 48 sec in❤
A lot of singers/entertainers had their own tv shows or regular tv specials in the 60s and 70s. There were limited tv channels back then.... no cable, no paid channels like Netflix, no internet. Also no reality tv! Tv was alot simpler.
Thanks for playing that!!
Jones crossed over several genres. He even sang country music a lot. Check out Green Green Grass of Home on his TV show.
Check out Delilah by Tom Jones.
Check out “til” - “Without Love” - “green, Green Grass of Home” - “Funny, Familiar - , Forgotten Felling”.just a few of my many favourites. Huge Tom Jones fan for 40 years.
My moms a huge Tom fan and seen him
Live several times in the 60’s and 70’s and I grew up listening to her blast him out! His voice is just pure, natural, effortless power! This was live.........LIVE........unreal to be fair. All my mates used to wonder how I knew so many of his songs and the words 🤣 Elvis is the other one! Not my type of music at all but undeniably, mindblowingly impressive!!
👌 👌
Tom Jones had TV shows in England and has traveled the world singing. Yes, is that much of a singer/entertainer. He has many albums out. Currently he spends part of his year being one of the judges/coaches on Britian's The Voice. He still travels and performs. He just turned 80 years old and he sounds as good now as he did. You can find clips on RUclips from the British The Voice where the coaches will occasionally sing a song while they're waiting for contestants. Tom Jones sings most often. He is a legend. Pull up any one of his songs, he sings in many different genres, and there isn't a bad one in the bunch. At 80 years old, you can't believe that big, powerful voice still comes out of him - and he still doesn't use auto-tune or any of that nonsense - when you hear him next to some of today's singers, their voices sound so weak and small no matter how the mics are set. Now he's sometimes called the silver fox, as he's let his hair go it's natural silver grey and he's a damn good looking man at 80 years of age.
He had his on show
Still handsome and smooth as silk.
Thank you
He was beyond incredible
Thank you ♥️👍
You made my 88 year old mother very happy.
Check out Tom Jones with Janis Joplin from that tv show. The song is Raise A Hand.
I watched the show when I was a teenager. He was hot. I was in love with this man when I was 16. He always said goodnight in Welsh at the end of the show. He can still sing today.
This was his second big tv special he did for American tv..he hsd had his own show from 65 on uk tv then in 67 he went to the States
A true Welsh Legend 🏴great video 👍
I do remember that show! He had a serious female following, as you may have guessed. “What’s New Pussycat?” Is the first song of his I remember.
Tom jones had his own show in the late 1960’s.. I was a little kid but I remember watching it..
Now that you’ve heard this song you should go back and watch it straight through.. pay attention to the power and passion he pours into it. What a voice.. wow!
Sir Tom Jones from the land of song, to be born in Wales, not with a silver spoon in your mouth, but, with music in your blood and with poetry in your soul, is a privilege indeed.
Cymru am byth 🏴🏴🏴🏴
He had his own television show and he sang live.
My Mother used to love Tom Jones. I was a little young to appreciate his voice since I was a teenager back then. But, now I can see what a VOICE he has. And still has in his 80s!!!
I really enjoy your reviews!💕
My mom and cousin loved him❤
I vaguely remember this show as a kid. Tom sung his own tunes, he sung cover tunes and he had guest stars on the show who he would let them sing their newest release and then they would duet. If you haven't already, check out I'll never fall in love again...the mans voice is pure honey.
Check out his duet with Wilson Pickett. So much soul from these two amzing gentlemen. I remember them both. Amazing performance.
Great tribute for the greatest singer ever!❤️🙏😎🎼🍾🥂🌟
80 years young ...have you heard his New Album!
Tom Jones has a song called "It's not unusual." And that song use to get played a lot on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Tom Jones even made an appearance on the show.
My mother had all his albums and we watched every show. You have to see him dance, the girls would go crazy.
Tom still brings "it"
Yes, he was very famous. A great entertainer. I watched him ever Friday night. It was variety show with other up and coming singers.
Loved his musi, loved his shows and he was so popular.
My grandmother was crazy about him. He was a major singer in the 60's and 70's. My grandmother watched his show, which I saw at her house.
There were many variety shows in the late 60’s and early 70’s. These entertainers were naturally talented, no auto tune back then, their voices pure. Backed by orchestras, backup singers. 👍👍
👌 👍
Dame Shirley Bassey has a version of this as well, they're friends of a similar age and both from Wales also appeared at Glastonbury live Sir Tom Jones twice Dame Shirley once both sound much the same as when they started out, both had their own shows on TV here in the UK and overseas
Please check out Yom Jones doing Delilah!
Tom's TV show was a variety show featuring a other famous people. Yes he was that popular. Englebert Humperdinck, his good friend was on quite a bit. It was a good show.
I used to watch The Tom Jones Show every week. Loved it!
I went to many Tom Jones concerts in Las Vegas!
He was big. Top songs Delilah and watch him sing treat her right on his tv show and what’s new pussycat
Oh yes he was! I'm nearly 65 and as a 13 yr old I never missed the show.
Fabian, this show was a big hit for ABC on Friday night and Tom was one of the highest paid people on TV. He had people on, many Black and R&B performers, that no one else had on network TV. He dueted with Janis Joplin, The Moody Blues, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, Sammy Davis and Stevie Wonder, as well as, Wilson Picket and Otis Redding. Otis called Tom the best damn soul singer on the planet. Interestingly, as you mentioned ITV in the UK, at that time the broadcast systems in the US and UK were different (don’t ask), such that a show that was recorded in the US could not be aired on UK TV. So Tom recorded the show for ABC, got on a plane, flew to London, and did the show again for UK broadcast. For the last 15 minutes, of each show, Tom took to the stage and sang 3 songs in a setting that resembled a live concert. That’s what this song is taken from, those last 15 minutes.
If you want to hear something more up-to-date and great, go to Tom Jones Live on Soundstage. Which was done for PBS (it’s here on RUclips), the entire concert is incredible, but for a reaction show, isolate his version of ‘Till My Back Ain’t Got No Bone.’
The end !your face said it all
You've heard Shirley Bassey sing this song; it was a Tom Jones song that she was given license to sing also...
🤩
Elvis Loved Tom Jones because he reminded him of himself they're best friends for years. Tom Jones was number one for a number of years so yeah he deserved the TV show. All the girls I knew at the time went crazy for the man had to watch his show every week.
OMG 😲 my favourite song from Mr Tom Jones 💗
Yeah his show was great. watched it every week. He sang with all the best singers.
Please.,. Tom Jones has and always will be Belooed😎😎😎
El más grande cantante que ha pisado este ancho mundo!

EVERYONE. no presenters no adverts nothing just awesome singing music banter and swag. little richard Johnny cash stevie wonder jerry lee lewis aretha franklin cher janis joplin neil young tina turner the list goes on. He was best mates with elvis for 20 years .....elvis requested to meet tom and when he did he was singing toms latest hit to him called "with these hands" which is less famous bt imo is maybe the bets love song ever.......anyways great reaction peace
Watch him doing “the reason” he is still amazing
Now you have to watch the complementary video of Shirkey bassey singing the same song. Look for her early recordings from 60s or 70s!
He had his own tv program for too short of a time for me. Loved it..
Tom Jones did a TV show that was extremely popular world wide. One thing he did was sing with a variety of singers of all types. Also during this time the civil rights movement was going on. He insisted to have many blacks on his show, even with the “ upper management fighting him. There were even censors that told him to not hold hands with the black singers, or even to not look them in the face.” He defied them all and did what he thought was right. Because he had such high ratings they were scared to force him to do what they wanted. You can find out a lot about him in his various interviews. This man has not changed his style or let any one to pressure him, to do wrong.
