Bought a Z trail sandals and have been using it for months. I'll get back home from walk with blisters and pain under my foot. I thought the pain was a phase, a normal process to toughen up my foot, and pain would eventually go away. But it has been several months and nothing was changing. This guy in this video provided some simple instructions on how to walk properly. Immediately I tried , even with the foot pain from my previous walking technique, I immediately felt the difference. From that day, I have been pain free and have been enjoying my every walk. Will definitely get more Xero products. Thank you, sir. Keep up the good work.
VERY VERY good point here--'the new neural pathways to lay down in the inbetween' this is born in all areas of life too. Work, work, work, its in the rest only that the brain processes (also the musclo-pathways) to actually end up processing. Great point in this vid.
2:44 ! The most common sense thing I've heard yet. If you want to transition, take your shoes off and walk around your house barefoot! Every second of every day you can. It takes awhile to get used to it. But if you don't, how do you think you're just going to run outside barefoot?
I wouldn't just dismiss the 180 spm cadence as "nonsense". There is science behind that being a somewhat efficient.. I think what you mean to say is that everyone is different and it should vary slightly at different paces.
Actually, I say that if you want to run, walking is NOT a preparation for that. You start running by, well, running... but with a SUPER short run (see xeroshoes.com/category/barefoot-running-tips/). Walking (since we do more of that that running) is good for building foot strength, though. Dr. Sarah Ridge's study showed that walking in minimalist shoes builds strength as much as doing a foot exercise program.
Manufacturing is not a perfect process which is why we have a 24 month manufacturer's warranty, and an unmatched 5,000 mile sole warranty. We have tens of thousands of customers who've put more miles on their Xero Shoes than that. Your assertion about the veracity of the reviews is the only thing that's not true.

Very helpful knowledge, I've been running totally barefoot over 5 years now and these lessons are still so much help.
This is a really great series. So informative and helpful. Thanks!

Ok, I just watched the first minute and subbed already... ;D
Yeah, awesome series!
great video!
You look like Mel gibson. Actually even the voice and body language hits a gibsony vibe
wow! I thought the Mel Gibson comparison was ridiculous... I can see it more now... Freedom!

You're correct about individual differences. AND 180 has become mythological despite that there's no study showing it's any sort of magic number.
So in other words you are advising some people, "You need experience walking before you start running," in order to make the transition. Hmmm...

Cost doesn't equal what you get. Shoes last months, not one true review on RUclips on this shoe.
