I love the note of iris when it’s done right. When done right it is very professional, very classy smelling. All the iris based fragrances I have are some of the classiest, most sophisticated fragrances that I own. I have several fragrances created by Francois Demachy, including Sauvage and its flankers and quite a few fragrances in the Colonia line by Acqua di Parma (which is also LVMH like Dior, Guerlain, and MFK among others). I may never get to sample it for myself but the original Dior Homme sounds amazing. You know me brother- I love to dress it up, keep it classy, and look professional haha.
You have a Nov. 2018 batch but that's less important than your formula code of 12244/A. That's the 4th and current formulation, so whether you bought your bottle 2 years ago or the Dior Homme Original of today, it's the same 4th formulation that was changed some time after 2015. The formula codes for Dior Homme edt (excluding DH 2020) are: 2005-2010 : formula 01704/A (or 01792/A) 2010-2014 : formula 05434/A 2015-2017(?): formula 08853/A Your bottle to date: 12244/A Earlier codes are from the great Raiders of the Lost Scent website.
I'm a collector and I enjoy most of the top niche out there but the original dior is just a little over the top powdery for me iris scents are very tricky for a guy and just in my opinion formal only and I mean literally tuxedo type formal
This is the “Original” Dior Homme not the new completely different Dior Homme. Dior Home Original from France only is the same exact fragrance as this Dior Homme just says original because Dior released Dior Homme 2020

I would rather get DH Original, but as it's no longer available here in Canada or US, I got Givenchy Gentleman EDT which is somewhat like it.
Givenchy Gentleman EDT is a fragrance I need to try!
