I was there when This happened I still go I say too my self every time I go to one and I shake my head and say " Wow things have changed in monster jam ever since they have tooken out all the busses, RV's, Eighteen wheelers, ect. and I really miss all the cool WOW moments!! things have really changed......

Witnessed this first hand. monster jam truly isn't what it used to be.
Being at the 2020 Arlington event as I am writing this I can agree.
Something still isn't right with MONSTER JAM.
Everything bout monster jam turned into nascar. Everything’s identical to tires, mufflers and mostly the trucks besides toms and Neil’s truck. Bring the days back when the drivers drove the hauler and turned the wrenches instead of flying drivers in to pile drive the truck into the ground and makes ticket prices ridiculous. Made the sport real and people connected with it.

I was 7 years old, and I was there.
I turn 18 next week, and while Maximum Destruction had always been my favorite, this moment absolutely cemented it for me. I will always remember how awesome this was in person.
what's weird to me is he bent a 4 link and tore out 2 of the 4 front limiting straps when he rolled the truck along with losing drive to the front right, usually the bent 4 link alone would end the run, but in this case they let him keep going, glad they did, its not often they let a truck run damaged like that
They used to let them continue on a lot of broken stuff back then. They're much more picky now. I would assume it's a combination of safety precaution and the expense of destroying a truck even further
@@zachbuchanan3928 Well now, i see someone run with a broken tie rod i'm head over heels excited. It's a bit sad, but better than the last 4 years where that was an RII and a tow.

This was back when they let the drivers continue even after the trucks had broke. Tom Meents made his name, in fact, doing what you see here: Putting on amazing runs with broken trucks that anyone else in a brand-new piece in perfect working order could never get close to matching.

That was my second ever monster jam show and I was only 6, and this is just about the only thing I remember from this show anymore but it was incredible to see in person.

Did anyone else notice that he bent the right front 4 link on the first flip. I noticed when I was watching and was surprised they let him keep going but I'm so glad they did.
Tyler Powers back then they let them going with flat tires the only way they stop the run is if he can’t turn over on all 4 wheels

I was here to while I was 8 yrs old that guy become my favorite, my mom took a picture with him, while he picked me up with my shirt pull upwards and every time I looked at that picture I kept laughing.

It was called Cowboys Stadium when it opened, then AT&T bought the naming rights in 2013.

TheLightningRC I didn't see it over the crowd. I was too short. I only saw the explosion. I didn't see it until they showed the replay on the screen. Tom is my favorite driver

Can somone explain to me how a monster truck tire "locks"
Corne 011 the run planetary axels which have little gears inside if one or two break, gets stuck in the channels for the teeth.
