Fatih Yıldız there is an argument to be made for that, check out kevins channel though, some really creative stuff in there in the extreme death metal range
Fatih Yıldız depends on what you wanna play. anything over 200 bpm 16th notes usually just sounds like garbage without triggers. if you stay below that you should be good without them. or youre dave lombardo... then youre a god.

i think he is wearing the black "Newfeel" shoes made by the big french sport shop "decathlon", i bought the same shoes and they are very light, it feels almost like you're wearing slippers ! Awesome product but unfortunatly it was a 2016 edition and they ran out of stock !

I never understood why anyone would want that "yep sounds just like a railroad crossing" ride cymbal sound. Haha
I actually really like the overtone-rich ping sound that big bell rides produce when played on the bow. Shame I can't stand those bells that are vital to getting that sound lmao, normal sized raw bells > everything
Cheesus Crust yeah it's hard to find a balance. I see a lot of people putting just a nice sized bell on top of their ride. IDK if you've ever looked into doing something like that.
I thought about it actually, but I can't stand most of the accent bell cymbals as a substitute for a ride bell either, fuck me and my selective taste :D

Great drumming, but for some reason I really dislike the sound of his kick. Not sure if he's triggering or it's just naturally clicky.

That explains. Ah, wish every band had the Pig Destroyer drum sound (they only triggered the kick a couple of times, all acoustic usually).
Bass drums are a bit too untight for me to enjoy, but otherwise great drumming.

I'm NOT hating on him. But I feel as though everything in this genre has already been done. It all sounds the same to me now...
Don't let this take away that he's a great drummer though.
Regarding the technical aspect.. i think you're right (although i thought this 10-15 years ago after listening to george kollias in nile..) - but you can still write new and great songs i guess? That's why i love Cattle Decapitation for example, they sound quite unique IMO.
humanity is already done. but i love to hear 16th notes and blastbeats 24/7 if needed :) i only see Kevin once with Svart Crown and he was absolutely amazing, technical, precise and brutal.
