      You missed one. In Lion King 2 Simba's pride, although Zira's actual plan came with an inherent risk--because Kovu, her personally trained assassin stepson--falls in love with his intended hostage, due to Kiara being a childhood friend of his--it was her backup plan that was really counterproductive. She ambushed Simba while he was accompanied by Kovu, fully aware he was probably intent on abandoning his mission. Who's to say Simba would even be alive had Kovu not gone with him to inspect the destruction from a recent wildfire? (Which incidentally was started by Kovu's siblings.)

    Scar, Ursula and Jafar actually had brilliant plans.
    In fact, Ursula's plan literally worked. She usurped Triton just as planned. The only reason she died is because she failed to notice Eric because she was too fixated on killing Ariel after she made her kill her pets.
    Jafar's plan worked out too. He became a powerful sorcerer, sultan and even had Jasmine ready to create an heir for him. Becoming a genie was not a part of his plan, he just wished to become one out of sudden paranoia when Aladdin pointed out that he's not all-powerful.
    Scar's plan worked well too. In fact, his plan was brilliant. He tricked Simba into causing a stampede, knowing the loss of Simba was Mufasa's greatest fear. And he used that fear to create a situation where Mufasa had no time to strategize, which made him an easy prey.
    In fact, when Simba returned to the Pridelands, Scar was still able to use his trauma against him. The only reason he was defeated is because he got cocky and told Simba the truth.

    • @Pfisiar22

      Simba didn't cause the stampede. The hyenas did. He tricked Simba into survivor's guilt. This bugs me a bit because if Simba had stopped to think about things the moment he learned Scar was in league with the Hyenas, then Scar's attempt to get into his head would have failed magnificently.

    If you think about it, scar's reign was doomed to have a bloody end, regardless if simba had died or not. Even if he had done the smarter thing and taken care of cub simba himself, the pridelands would still end up as a wasteland. And with no food, the Hyenas would eventually end up turning on scar anyways, once they realised their "infinite meat" was no longer infinite.
    Scar's true failure was in ever allowing the hyenas back into the pridelands. Mufasa had a damn good reason for banning the hyenas, but Scar lacked the wisdom to understand that reason. Scar's character is a perfect example of how Intelligence and Wisdom are NOT the same.

    Edgar overlooked a very important detail about the Madame's will - Yes, the cats would be first to inherit their mistress's fortune, but they certainly couldn't handle, use, or spend any of that money for themselves. Ergo, Edgar would have been in control of the fortune with the only stipulation being he would have to take care of the cats for the rest of their lives (not to mention he believed the "9 lives" myth), and once the cats' lives came to an end he would fully have the fortune for himself
    While he most likely overlooked this detail, there's the possibility he didn't and simply didn't want to have to care for the cats at all, which makes him much more of a greedy dirtbag

    Actually, the biggest flaw in Prince John's plan would have been his attempt to hang friar tuck. Arresting a member of the clergy was bad enough, but actually executing him would quite possibly have triggered the Pope to punish England severely. (In the actual history, John was excommunicated and church services were stopped in England for 6 years. This, more than the taxes, is what made him deeply unpopular even among the peasants)

    • @Furienna
      @Furienna Год назад +7

      What I think is that Prince John didn't necessarily mean to actually execute Friar Tuck, but he just said he would to capture Robin in a trap.
      But yeah, arresting a clergyman in the first place would have been bad enough in Medieval times even if that was the Sheriff's doing and not Prince John's.
      And even a false threat of executing a friar could have gotten him into trouble, which is why Sir Hiss was terrified when he heard about that plan.
      But that's indeed a nice reference to how the real Prince (later King) John reportedly disrespected the teachings of the church according to some chroniclers.
      Then he also had a conflict with the pope and was indeed excommunicated, which is really interesting even if the pope later forgave him...

    Correction: Scar DIDN'T know that Simba got away. He specifically ordered his hyenas to kill Simba, and thought he was dead all that time. In reality, of course, the hyenas gave up too soon and lied to him. When he sees that Simba DID, in fact, survive, he shoots the hyenas a look, then ALMOST succeeds in turning the pride against Simba by making it seem like he was responsible for Mufasa's death. The only reason his plan failed was because Scar couldn't help but gloat before he killed Simba, making Simba mad enough to pin him to the ground and make him admit it.

    Monstro was only an animal, so he wouldn't have had a plan or even been a villain at all.
    It is clear that Ursula knew that Ariel was Triton's weak spot, so she could get him where she wanted through her.
    Cruella was pretty insane though and wouldn't have thought things through.
    Gothel probably just thought that her psychological abuse would be enough to make Rapunzel stay in the tower.
    Jafar desired to be more powerful than anybody else and didn’t want to settle for anything less.
    Well, it is kind of obvious that Yzma's flea plan only was a joke.
    Queen Grimhilde was sure that the dwarfs would bury Snow White before Florian could find her.
    Even if Madame could have worded the will better, Edgar is pathetic in the most unlikable way (I feel a bit sorry for him when those dogs chase him though).

      Bellwether’s evil plans in Zootopia behind turning the prey population against the predator population of Zootopia seemed bland and pathetic, Bellwether’s evil plans would have been more interesting if they were anti-villainous and involved creating the genocide of all of Zootopia’s animal species expect for sheep, by turning them savage with night howlers and make it seem like they were reverting back to their primitive savage ways and have them all exterminated as a direct result and create their genocide and removal from Zootopia making sheep the only anthropormphic animal species living in Zootopia and create the genocide of and discrimintations towards all its other animal species (Starting with predators the ones prejudiced and discriminated against sheep the most.) as revenge for past prejudices, discrimintations and segregations (With Mayor Lionheart and the other non-sheep politicians in Zootopia’s behavior towards Bellwethehr being a noble example of this.) that they have sheep in the past and end those discrimintations and segregations and give sheep in Zootopia equal rights and justice at long last, and the motivations for Bellwether’s goals also came out of being bullied, publicly humiliated, prejudiced and discriminated by non-sheep animals especially predators and treated like an outcast by them for her dwarfism (Bellwether’s dwarfism caused her to fail to grow to the size of adult sheep and she stayed in lamb form with lamb eyes her entire life.) and mental and physical disabilities coming from birth defects like social anxiety and shyness in her childhood making Bellwether the evil parallel to Mumble from Happy Feet, both characters were born with birth defects and disabilities and kept some of their juvenile/child body traits and were misjudged and treated like outcasts by others for them, but Mumble remained upbeat and optimistic in spite of this while Bellwether too it too emotionally and tragically and became embittered to the point of becoming The villain she is wanting to create justice for herself and her species, and have revenge on all those other animal species who prejudiced against her and misjudged her in the past.

    In Yzma's defense, The Emperor's New Groove is clearly a goofy comedy that you're not really supposed to take seriously. Edger is a moron who can't understand that the cats would be aging at the same time, not in shifts, meaning a litter of kittens and their mom might actually be more financially trustworthy heirs. As for the Queen of Hearts, the entire point of Alice in Wonderland is that it's an unpredictable romp through pure maddness, of course the villain wouldn't have a clear motivation.
    If I was Scar, I'd do two things differently. One, I wouldn't even pretend with Simba, I'd get him right than and there. Second, I'd treat the hyaenas better. Even before Simba's return, you can see that there was unrest among them and they were complaining about the state of things. I feel like their turning on Scar in the climax was less a reaction to being blamed for everything and more the final straw.

    Monstro is just an animal. A very mean animal.
    Uraula's plan was actually working until Ariel's friends discovered her plan and ruined it.
    I think the reason why Cruella chose to steal the puppies was because she didn't like being turned down when she offered to pay them and did it out of spite. Also, while she and Anita are old friends, Cruella doesn't like her husband Roger. Probably because of that song he made about her since he doesn't like her either.
    Gothel. I agree that she should have chosen a different birthday for Rapunzel or moved moved someplace else.
    Jafar wanted to be all powerful, and that did him in. He got trapped in a lamp after becoming a genie until the direct to video sequel, where he ended up being released.
    Yzma. Apparently, she doesn't want to do the simple way of killing Kuzco.
    Evil Queen. Vanity.
    Goob or Bowler Hat Guy. He let his past ruin his future. He probably has a better future now since Lewis prevented the event that caused him to go down a miserable path.
    Edgar was an idiot. He could've waited until the cats died of nature causes, and then he would have gotten the money.
    Captain Hook. Flaws in his plans.
    Prince John. Greed and other stupid decisions.
    I think the reason why Scar didn't do away with Simba himself and had the hyenas do it because he would have had Simba's blood on his hands or paws. Perhaps the lionesses would have smelled it and realized he had killed Simba. Yes, he could have washed the blood away afterwards, but it is possible he could've been spotted by someone. So he figured get others to do the job for him. Unfortunately for Scar, the hyenas failed in their job.

      The reason behind Dawn Bellwether having no prejudices towards Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps (Despite Nick playing with the wool in Bellwether’s head which she hates with Judy trying to get Nick to stop as it's culturally insensitive.) and acting nice and friendly towards them was because Nick and Judy had no prejudices or bias against Bellwether for her species or birth defects compared to others but were actually sympathetic and were more supportive towards her in spite of it which caused Bellwether to befriend and sympathize with Nick and Judy after learning of their own tragic backstories, and decide to leave their species, foxes and rabbits out as the non-sheep animal species she creates the genocide of in Zootopia and make Zootopia a city with foxes, rabbits and sheep as its only anthropormphic animal species with no other animal species around to prejudice against them, and when Nick and Judy discover Bellwether’s evil plans and villain colors later on, the sheep invites the red fox and gray rabbit to join forces with her in achieving her evil plans promising to help them have revenge on and kill Chief Bogo, Gideon Gray, the Junior Ranger Scouts and everyone else who prejudiced against them and their species in the past and give them and their species equal rights and justice and appreciation too, but Nick and Judy refuse because while they did sympathize with Bellwether after learning of her tragic past, disapproved of her evil plans, knowing that it was the wrong thing to do and its much better to reason with others to end prejudices that they give you instead of killing them or having revenge on them to end it all, leaving Bellwether no choice but to silence Nick and Judy to stop them from exposing her plan to the ZPD by darting Nick with night howlers and having him kill Judy, but this backfires because Nick swoops the night howler serum out for blueberries and Nick and Judy perform a Batman Gambit to have Bellwether say her plan out loud and record it to the ZPD having Bellwether arrested and sent to prison as a direct result, while the savage predators are all cured and the predators and prey are reunited in Zootopia and its society returns to normal and later on after Gazelle’s concert in the end credits, Nick and Judy with Gazelle’s help same for Chief Bogo and Clawhauser and giraffe Mayor FranklinSpots, the new mayor of Zootopia (Who will later play a role in Zootopia 2) all create new laws that create equal rights and justice for all sheep in Zootopia and new laws that prohibit prejudices towards sheep in Zootopia, presumably causing Bellwether to see the error of her ways and reform while she was in prison, though she did for some reason remain a villain and try to kidnap Gazelle before Nick, Judy and their friends rescue her in Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, and Bellwether likely alongside Mayor Lionheart, Larry, Gary and Dr. Madge Badger won’t be returning or will even be mentioned in Zootopia 2, Mayor FranklinSpots, Sam from Zootopia+, and a ton of new characters like Nibbles the Beaver, Gerald the sea lion and Bob the walrus and Gary the Snake will all be appearing in their places.

      Bellwether’s last lines related to Henry J. Waternoose in Monsters’ Inc. also an anti-villain should have been:
      Judy: So that’s it you create the genocide of all of Zootopia’s non-sheep animals just so that you and your species can stay in power?
      Bellwether: Pretty much.
      Judy: It won’t work!
      Bellwether: Genocide always works! And I will dart and kill every non-sheep animal in Zootopia to keep it that way!
      Related to Waternoose’s line: I will kidnap a thousand children before I let this company die! And I will silence anyone who stands in my way!

The dwarves would think she’s dead and bury her (alive). Therefore she’d be out of the way, dead in the ground and the fairest IN the land. Her plot failed because “so beautiful, even in death, the dwarves could not find it in their hearts to bury her.” It went awry because of factors beyond her control.

    Prince Hans should have made this list. He is easily the worst twist movie villain ever (not just from Disney but from any movie). The way he just magically turns evil on a dime made no sense. Until the moment he betrayed Anna he did nothing but good. There were no hints of malice or ulterior motive until he tells Anna, “not only will I not kiss you, but I’m going to leave you here to die and oh I’m going to kill your sister too just for the fun of it and take over your kingdom. Bye!” Yeah nothing led to that, so he sucks! Worst villain ever!

    10- Monstro is a whale and acts on pure animalistic instinct
    9- Ursula did have some hiccups in her plan to gain power of the oceans and seven seas but becoming a giant was her ultimate downfall - if she was compared to another character it be Darth Sidious: overconfidence as a weakness
    8- Cruella De Vil here leaving her plan in the hands of the boneheads of Horace and Jasper was a bad idea, and in my opinion she is the number one Disney villain, but for me the best part is at the end after the crash
    "You idiots! You- you fools! Oh you imbeciles!" "Aw shut up." 😂😂😂
    6- Jafar was already in a position to grab power from the sultan with his staff he didn't really need a genie to get more power he was too greedy to see that
    "It's mine. It's all mine. I... Where is it? No. NOOOoooo"
    5- Yzma: only one thing to say: "Pull the lever, Kronk. 🕳️ WRONG LEVER!
    3- Edgar I feel sorry for him, overheard how all of his mistress' belongings were being inherited to her cat's and then him is hard thing to hear but cat napping them and sending them to the french countryside and then Timbuktu was a horrible choice
    1- Queen of Hearts you would figure would have more compassion than anger and rage, not to mention the pleasure of yelling out "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS!!!"

    The absolute worst Disney villain plan is that of the grandpa, King Runeard, from "Frozen II." (SPOILERS) First of all, he's already dead. He personally killed the leader of the Northuldra while on some kind of diplomatic picnic. This sparked a battle that not only killed the king himself, but apparently all of the soldiers who were in on his secret evil plan. It also almost killed his son and only heir, whom he decided to bring along. Runeard failed to pass his prejudice on to the next generation, as his son married "the enemy." And the rest of his people don't hate the Northuldra, either. His only evil legacy is a dam that just sits there waiting to be destroyed. His own granddaughter destroys it. If only evil people in real life were this incompetent.

    Wishing to be a genie was a big mistake, though. Although, he almost made it work for him in "The Return of Jafar," but then he got too greedy in trying to concoct the perfect revenge scheme instead of just letting Aladdin die the first time he and Abis Maul got the better of him.

    This really does show why Disney's fascination with trying to expand their classic villains into three-dimensional characters with dark tragic backstories never works.
    At the end of the day, they're supervillains who do cartoonishly evil things because that's what they are, cartoons. You don't question why Tom constantly tries to bash Jerry over the head with a hammer because that's what he does.
    Trying to give a "realistic" or "understandable" explanation for why a character would do something so cartoonishly over the top, NEVER WORKS.
    Giving Cruella a dead mom backstory to explain why she has a hate boner for Dalmatians doesn't make her a three-dimensional person. It makes your original version look stupid by association.

She may have been ok with a little girl drowning in an attempt to recover the Devil's Eye, but if Penny drowned it would only delay Medusa's chance of getting the diamond and bring her closer to being caught even if she kidnapped another child and the same thing happened, so no benefits there. She would've been better off doing what would make Penny succeed and get the diamond even with no qualms at drowning a child or anything else so horrible, because Medusa's goal is to get the diamond and she needed someone small enough to do it, so would she rather delay her chance of getting the diamond? It's much more logical for someone who only wants a diamond and is willing to drown a child to instead send the child down there when it's not high tide so they can get the diamond without drowning, which wouldn't have helped Medusa get the diamond and lead to unnecessary delays. And she doesn't exactly have all the resources she needs, so kidnapping another child and doing the whole ruthlessness-over-logic shtick would bring her closer to being caught.

    For me syndromes plan is idiotic and full of holes for 2 reasons
    1. His revenge scheme is all bc Mr incredible rejects him and he couldn't take it like a damn man and accept the hero life isn't for him.
    2. His plot for world domination is to be seen as a hero and sell him s product to everyone so they can be supers. Also what doesn't make sense is that he is pushing his buttons to dislocate the omnibots arm right in front of the audience so how doesn't anyone see he's pulling the strings

    (Serious) For those who have been inquiring about why Scar did not killed Simba, it is worth nothing, lions lack the knowledge of blood stain removal. So he had the hyenas to do the dirty work instead. It is, in fact, a logical decision by Disney.

    • @Compucles
      @Compucles Год назад

      Fair point, but Scar still could've just had the hyenas gut Simba right there instead of trying to gaslight and exile him first.

    Edgar’s plan may not have been well thought out, but he did have a good motive. I mean, what did Madam expect her pet cats to do with the money?

    • @tmntfangirl6898
      @tmntfangirl6898 Год назад +6

      Well it's possible that he knew he'd have to spend some money to take care of the cats, it's possible that he simply wanted ALL of it for himself. Either way he's not bright

      No Disney villain plan is better than that of Don Karnage, because he targets Disney's stupidest protagonists, has a pilot's license, and wears pants amid several stupid enemies who don't. Megavolt, Steelbeak, and The Beagle Boys are not far behind.

    Even though he’s not on the list, Han’s plan would’ve been successful had he actually killed Ana instead of leaving her to freeze to death and framed Elsa for murder.

    • @Compucles
      @Compucles Год назад

      Well, it would've been difficult for him to murder her on short notice in a way that still looked like she naturally froze to death.
      However, I agree that he screwed up by not waiting in the room with her until she actually died.

    I wouldn't include Monstro here. The whale had no plan whatsoever, as its only aim was to feed.

    11:15 Technically the Queen Of Hearts from ALICE IN WONDERLAND didn't really exist even within the context of the film itself, she was just a character in Alice's dream.

  • @daniellewis4154
    @daniellewis4154 Год назад +7

    No I disagree with the monster option. The film treats this whale like a total force of nature more than an actual character. Plus he does not have any motive other than just eating. It makes no sense to include him just for being an animal

    Is the whale REALLY a villain? It just kind of seems like an angry whale swimming around doing angry whale things, not some sort of villain going around doing dastardly things.

      Pretty name you have, and I kind of agree with you about that because originally Gepetto was at the wrong place at the wrong time when he went searching for Pinocchio. And that trick with making a fire inside of Monstro, and him sneezing them out, would piss any giant whale off!

    Issue #1: You put on the list a whale who isn't antropomorphical and cannot make schemes.
    Issue #2: The evil queen did not know Snow White had already fallen in love with somebody.
    Issue #3: You put the queen of hearts on the list, a character who didn't make any schemes.

    Who is the Villain truly of Beauty and the Beast? Is it Gaston? I would argue, no, not really, he's just kind of a dick who dies at the end. I believe the true villain of the story was in fact the enchantress. Sure the prince was a dick, but not enough to be cursed. And when doing the math he was at most a small child. (11 to be exact) She is cruel to do that, of COURSE he wouldn't let an ugly old lady into his house, Stranger Danger!

    Scar screwed himself even more by trying to trick Simba into thinking that the hyenas wanted him to kill Mufasa. He could've at least tried to escape the fire, but being ambushed by said hyenas in the same fire didn't help his chances and he died there...
