This video brought back so many memories of when I was young. Every house in the village would raise 1 or 2 pigs. 1 to sell and the other for the family to eat. The men slaughtered and butchered the pig. You and the other ladies were doing what the ladies used to do in the village, the sausages, the storing of the pork in lard oil. Oh and the crispy fried lard 😋😋😋. DELICIOUS foods !!!!! 😋😋😋👍👍👍Thank you for sharing .Take care of yourselves, be safe, and healthy 🇨🇦

Very interesting, and very different from the Italian style of pig processing. Our family is both Italian and Chinese, so it's nice to see this style as well. Maybe we will try some of these ideas in the future!

I remember as an teen living in Fresno, California our family would butcher a pig once a year to celebrate the oncoming new year and it was always alot of work cooking and preparing every part of the pig just similar to your family's way. It was a long and tiring process but all the yummy foods prepared was worth the time.
I'm not much of a pork person bc I don't eat hardly any meat, but bc of the variety of all your different dishes it would be wonderful and worth it to taste them all. So much work involved but so rewarding 😀 Love from the states ❤️

A lot of these things I have not seen yet on your channel but I have seen a many kinds of fruits an vegetables. even the homemade beverage was nice 🙂👍I enjoy oolong tea with a hint of lemon grass this was the second most pork in one place I ever seen next to the homemade pickles sauces an marinade 😃✌️❤️
No part of the animal goes to waste. Anything not immediately eaten is preserved to last throughout the year. So many ways of preservation and cooking that is surely passed down generation after generation through word of mouth which eventually turns into your rich culture and tradition and becomes a part of who you are. Makes me remember my childhood in a small country village here in Portugal which in January / February we does the same with some diferences and one pig of medium side was for all year and everybody helps
It is amazing that ancient people created all these methods of preserving meats. They helped not only keeping food for the whole year but also making it more tasty and healthier. We Vietnam here have learned a lot from Chinese cuisine culture and made it our own for a long time. Wonderful.
