It all sounds good but in truth where you fish has a lot to do with what bait works best. I live along the upper texas coast and I've used most of the foods you suggest. Night crawlers work well here, shad works well. Blood baits work great for small catfish but don't seem to catch big ones here. Live minnows work well. My personal favorite is fresh dead shrimp. It will catch channels and blue cats, and even flat heads well. As far as liver goes I use beef liver as it stays on the hook better than chicken livers. I've also caught nice fish on raw chicken soaked in cherry jello. Perch, live or as cut bait works well on trot lines. If you're near the coast we have fairly large mud minnows (a brackish water killifish) that make great live trot line bait for catfish. Even chunks of soap work on trot lines at night. In other words most baits will catch catfish but each lake or river has a different bait that works best so you have to try multiple baits to find the one the fish will bite on well.
Raw pork or chicken has always worked for me. When I was younger I'd get free pork chop packs from the food pantry and it was so much me and my dad couldn't eat it all, so if any went bad I'd use it as bait lol. Works really well honestly and I'd recommend it to anyone for channel or bullhead catfish.

Okay- this confuses me: catfish are extremely sensitive to noise and get scared easily yet, you see people all the time catching big ones noodling. Wouldn't the awkward splashing up to one scare it away if they're so sensitive that walking up on the bank would?
That’s a very good question!!! Thx for your comment! I think the answer is this simple - when they noodle for catfish the fish is lodged down deep in a hole or crevice so the noise doesn’t bother them as much since they are already “hidden” as opposed to just wandering around at the shoreline where they would be scared off. Thx again and happy fishing! Tony

Catfishing with Live Chicken Liver ? Lmao. Creek chubs , Eel , bluegills , even Chicken thighs cut up with Gatorade garlic mix , Vienna sausages works well as well
Okay a couple things wrong with your video you really didn't say anything about Blue cat outside of spam. I already know how to catch up man what's the best bait for them the other thing is talking about cats are mostly bottom feeders. You're wrong they will feed off the bottom but primarily they chase their baits down. Because they like eating bluegill minnows shad and stuff like that Subaru theater not mostly. They prefer live bait over everything else even though they will feed off the bottom. Junior opportunist eaters . Most of the catfish that you'll catch on the methods he's talking about like worms and stink baits and stuff is going to catch your catfish around small to about 10 lb eating size. Once in a rare occasion you might catch a big catfish on something like that but don't count on it. For bigger fish cut bait and live bait is your best bet. For blue cats use raw chicken breast. Believe me it has proven to be better than any other bait out there. So skipjack Chad and Asian carp will catch big Blues silver sunfish for bluegills live. For flatheads it's best to use common carp big chunks or any life carp up to 12 inchs. That's caviar to them. Again also sad and live bait. But in order I put them on the top baits.
I mentioned that live bluegill are best for flatheads and everything in this video catches catfish on the bottom or just off bottom. Why don’t you try saying something positive? Nothing in this video is wrong!!! Tony

@@tonyburton7695 yeah that’s funny they sure do!! Happy fishing. Tony

I came across your video while I was on RUclips. I follow a lot of outdoorsmen on RUclips. I figured I would give you a looksee, but but the moment your video came on ,everything out of your mouth was the best places the best bait the best time the best year seems you’re a little self-centered buddy, what gives you the right to think your ideas is the best.. It’s only your opinion?…..
