Bts are nothing like these American boybands. They have a bond that will never break. We can see that and they've literally given their entire heart to one another. I wish people would stop comparing bts to other boybands and how "they'll eventually break up and hate each other" like dude.. those people spreading rumors and negativity have zero knowledge about the group. They're basing their opinion with nothing to back it up. Bts are extremely strong, army is strong, we're all in this together and will prove everyone wrong cause WE KNOW our strength. Also to add on.. i think the break still would've happened even if the military was pushed back or whatever. Namjoon was needing a break because he was slowly losing himself as a person and wasn't sure who bts was anymore. That man is broken. It was bound to happen but that doesn't mean the group is splitting up, it's okay to back away and focus on yourself for a little bit. For your mental well being what they're doing right now.. relaxing, creating their solo albums, hanging with friends/family, i think is awesome and just what they needed.

The fact that the media never stopped asking Jin, and the rest of the group, about the date of the militar enlistement was the reason I wasn't surprised about the hiatus.
The burnt-out is a very serious matter too, it's not as simple as an "artist block", they need some break to cultivate their creativity and find new messages to share through their music. Their lyrics always have been an important part.

I can't wait for more solo work and for the guys to come back in 2025...we know what is going on and we trust the guys. BTS has a totally different dynamic than any other group I have seen. The relationship between BTS and ARMY is also, so different. Others just don't get it.

I hope Army support and treat every solo release like a BTS comeback because they deserve it! If you love and support all the 7 members equally then you are a true Army. 💜
I hope the guys finally "rest" and heal during these years ("rest" because they are literally going to the military service ) until they all meet again in 2025.
BTS has talked so many times about their wishes to be together as a group as much as possible and specially these last years because they don't want to worry Armys. I understand that there's people in the fandom that is traumatized because they were fans of 1D too but at this point y'all need to understand that BTS' situation and bond is totally different. Remember what Bangtan said in the Yet To Come Busan Concert "if you believe in us and trust us, we will keep going and continue to share music with you", "Trust us" , "Please believe in us."

They already renegotiated their last contract. That's probably why they can do collaboration's with other k pop idols. Take on fashion amdassador ships solo. Also, in their new changed contract from 2019 or 2020 they set their comeback for sometime in 2025. Remember they had stated that there were things they couldn't discuss? Well, they were renegotiating their last contract. All makes sense now. Alex you and everyone have a Lovely Evening...✌💜

They've always have produced solo things in the past as well for free. J-Jope, Suga and RM for instance. Jin, Jimin and V also had solo's and colabrations for OST's for K-Drama's.

@@marygalligan6455 You will always have to negotiate because it takes time from group schedule, stuff has to be planned and approved. No one sits down, writes a song in 24 hours alone, records it themselves in the studio, mixes it, creates the album/burns the music, makes their MV, promotes and distributes their music. There are specialist for that. There is so much that goes into every little bit.
The label was asked by media and they answered that all members (well... probably not Jin) have now fashion contracts, the question is now when the rest announces theirs and with whom - when they are ready.
Was the label more in control when they were younger? sure. The members were barely adult - if that - and had no idea how everything works or how to improve on things. That is something they have learned after all this years.
Still their managers come from Big Hit and help sort stuff and get things to the right people - because their scheduls are packed anyway. The question these days is probably more along the lines of "what do you want" and "these are the offers" and letting the members chose while giving advice and help connect to the right people.
Because now the members know exactly what they are doing and have the experience to do what they want.
I don't think their former contract was exploitive. It was just what needed to be done not to go under with people who barely knew what was going on if that. After all there are 100s of groups debuting every year and about 4000 official labels/businesses that make and produce albums in SK.
Hell! There are about 50 groups sitting in a waiting room on one of those weekly shows praying that an executive comes in, points at them and tells them to get on stage for an abridged version of their current promoted song because a scheduled performer cancelled.
Most groups disband within 100 days and maybe 1% stays around for a few years.
For example out of BTS debut year - there are older groups that still exist - no other group is still there.
So I do not find any of that strange or exploitive or super-controlling.
That they got to do their solo stuff was done in question with the label - because frankly the members couldn't have paid for it back than.

as a directioner, I can assure you that one direction went through a lot and that their management was treating them so badly and they clearly didn’t like it. the ones who wanted the band to end so bad were harry, liam and zayn, but niall and louis were actually happy in the band even with all the stuff they went through, and they didn’t want it to end bc their management basically bashed them since day one by not giving them enough solos and cutting their mic off, so they thought they wouldn’t do well enough.. (and now look at them 🥲❤️) so I don’t blame them for lying to us. they didn’t lie bc they didn’t love their fans and didn’t want to be honest with us, they lied bc they had no choices. the management would not let them say what they wanna say and they even had roles in the band! like harry was the womanizer, zayn was the quiet one, louis was the funny one but then his brand changed (bc louis has never been good at keeping his mouth shut lmao so he kind of had a lot of trouble with the management and so they changed his brand to like a mean person, a homophobic person and all that..) niall was the regular kid that you would meet at your school and liam was like the "dad" of the group. when they left the band, they finally had freedom (except for louis bc he was still under contract with them) so that’s why they talked about it when the band ended and not before. they talked about their brand, the images that were pushed on them by the management, the toxicity and all that.. and I agree that their friendship are definitely less stronger than bts, but except for liam, they were all friends! I know that niall still talks to louis and harry, louis and harry still talk to each other too bc louis said recently that harry went to his show, and niall and zayn used to hang out after the band broke up too! so I guess except for liam and maybe zayn a lil bit, they were all good friends. but honestly, most directioners don’t want a reunion, we just want maybe two of them to reunite for a song maybe, or if they reunite, then they might do it with another management then psycho (ik it’s syco but we call it psycho in the fandom 😭). also I saw louis in april 2022 and I’m seeing harry in june so I’m so excited! I know it has nothing to do with what I just said but whatever 😅
now, as an army too, I’m so glad that bts has a management and a team behind them that truly cares for them and let them do what they want and let them have freedom and all that. I’m so happy that bts can all trust each other even in the darkest times and I hope they will last for a long long time. long life to bts!💜

Well if you think about it, the stuff they said in Festa still stands although they didn't mention the military because they could have decided to go on tour after they released proof and tour until Jin had to go to the military. They really did want to pursue solo activities without having BTS activites at the same time. I think they just made the best schedule they could and Jin was just ready to go although he could have gotten a delay.

    • @ruthfischer7615
      @ruthfischer7615 Год назад +1

They already had the delay. It was approved for all of them.
Jin ended his early. His plan had been to do the service in summer but the other members asked him to do a group concert before that.
Jin used the time to talk to Chris Martin and asked for help with a song. So Coldplay/Chris Martin gifted "The Astronaut" to Jin - who wrote the Korean lyrics - and also sang on it (and also in the MV as a cameo).
So they did use the "BTS law".
      ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for the reaction, Alex - enjoyed as always :).
As for the military, the one thing I'm curious to see is JK's plans.
Either someone online (or maybe one of the members?) implied in the last couple of months that 'most' of the members would go. And I realized, although none of the other members could, given the schedule they're intending, if JK applies for the postponement rule, HE doesn't have to enlist until 2027. So he COULD wait. He could keep doing solo work, then be there for the group reunion for a couple of years, THEN perform his service, while other members do more solo work, take time for their private lives, etc.
He may not wait. But I was interested when I realized he could, and it would still fit with their plans. We'll see soon enough how they decide to work everything out.
Thanks again, and hope you're well! 💜

    • @ruthfischer7615
      @ruthfischer7615 Год назад

      1. They did all ask for the delay in december of 2021 and got it.
      2. Jin asked for a release from te delay and went into his service.
      3. They said that a fe members would go into service in the first half of 2023. There was also the implication that all would by the end of the year but maybe not.
THIS is NOT an attack on you. It is just to make it more easy to read.
      You nice! keep going! 💜

@@ruthfischer7615 No problem, I appreciate the info!
#1 rings a bell, but do you know where that was confirmed? I can't recall.
It certainly makes sense, though, because otherwise Yoongi would have to go in by March, and we haven't seen anything about his album yet, and it looks like Jimin's may come first, so I was starting to wonder.
#2 I'm aware of since they announced it as part of Jin's enlistment news.
And yes, they did imply other members would be going in the next 6 months. Not sure if people will go individually or together. I have a feeling Joon will be going in not too long, but we'll see.
My point was simply that because they have a goal of reuniting sometime in 2025, yes, everyone would have to enlist by the middle to the end of this year. Except, it turns out, JK. If he leaves his postponement in place
he's the only member who could go a substantial time after 2025. Even Tae & Jimin would have to go INTO the military by that year, so a CB wouldn't be possible then.
I'll be interested to see how they work everything out. 💜

well... everyone who knows a little about Idol music and South Korea knows about the military service. There were a lot of fights about it on social media and plattforms like allkpop.
If you actually looked closer it was heavly implied since those award shows in winter of 2019.
BTS pretty much never outright tells anyone what to think. They expect everyone to do so for themselves. We are almost all adults after all. We can think for ourselfes and do not need constant handholding - which is what makes their art so great.
The other part is that they needed breathing room, especially Namjoon.
They had said what was to be said about youth in a linear coming of age story. There was nothing to say anymore and the members - even JK - were clearly adult and not "youth".
The pressure of how groundbreaking they are and how much they got involved in different politics when they only wanted to be musicians (they take their responsibility serious and - when it was brought up to them it became their responsibility - because no one else could do what they did as no one else was in their position) was a little too much especially for him.
They needed time of and to find who they are as individuals (and maybe date/marry), to find what they like outside of the group and what their individual music is. The rapline has till now dominated the whole output of the group which left some of the others a but lost (especially Taehyung I think or at least I saw it in him the most).
It actually helps with longlivety. it worked for Coldplay or the Rolling Stones etc. (from what I hear).
