He didn't have a chance for that onside kick. He touched the ball about a yard or 2 early. This game nearly gave us Niner fans a heart attack. Great game though. Good chance the Lions will be back in the mix next season.
That BA helmet catch couodn't be an INT anyway, if BA didn't catchbit it would have been DPI. BA's route was impeded by the D and he bumped into him before the ball arrived, which is why the D player was in such good position.
Niner fan here. Hats off to the Lions,they really scared us. For the first time in my 45 yesrs of life i heard the Lions roar. I have a feeling that won't be the last of them. I think we may see the start of a dynasty for them
I was at the game on the visitors side. The Lions fans are great, but when they started chanting Jared Goff at halftime I lost it. The Cincinnati Bengals fans were nicer, but they won, so there's that. I've been to more games than most fans, this was the best game I've ever attended. Can we beat the Chief? I hope so.
Just so you know Dan Campbell doesn't trust his kicker. His kicker only has a 50% conversion rate on kicks 40+ yards in outdoor stadiums. From what I hear he's not much better indoors... he's got accuracy just no leg it seems...
The catch at
The Lions almost certainly will be in the playoffs next season, but even if the Packers win the division, with what they accomplished in this game, it should give Lions fan’s confidence going forward that a wildcard Lions team can be just as dangerous. Campbell being a gambler points to this as well. Even if they have a bad year, their speed, their willingness to go for it, and their skill guys make them very dangerous. They need to get better on defense and if I was in the front office and Goff is the guy going forward (which I believe he should) a backup for him would be on my radar but I’d make the offensive line even better and defense needs help. Tough loss, you’ll be back tho

Detroit’s kicker is terrible that’s why they have to play so many 4th downs. The kicker has like a 40% completion record beyond 40 yards in the regular season. Dan Campbell is also a nutter who believes that offensive plays can and will win you the game.
