I have to say, this entire library, all three sections, might be the best library I’ve heard from spitfire (to my purposes that is) and that’s saying something because spitfire makes some of the absolute best libraries around. This library is just beyond amazing, I’m just floored by it

Solstice might be the most important film music library since Albion One

I am SO mindblown by Albion Solstice... No idea why I passed on checking it out when it first dropped, but I got it in a bundle setting this Black Friday, and now checking it out, and am sort of at a loss of words... it's just such an incredible, unique and diverse lib... I can't wait to use this on basically anything I do. It's so versatile too! Wow! C Henson's masterpiece before leaving Spitfire. Incredible!

One of the most brilliant, inspiring libraries Spitfire have produced. On my wish list - I just need to get more disk space first! 5 stars!

Flexible, yet deliciously dark. I can hear this being used for shimmering unapologetically upbeat music, to cues for spooky things lurking around the corner. Thanks for mangling things so beautifully!

I have a lot of (Spitfire) libraries and there are some gems out there but this is my absolute favourite, especially the cassette orchestra is an astonishing accomplishment.

Very nice, Christian. Congrats on another successful Spitfire release, and with this library, clearly a lot of your own effort and talent went into creating it.

What a stunning library, video presentation, and walkthrough! Although I had Albion Tundra until now, I didn't know of eDNA's capability beyond the presets! This truly opens up a new door of possibilities. I'm completely enchanted :D

I'm feeling rather foolish. I was a bit stuck with a project and solstice popped up and like Christian mentions in one of the videos, I went to the strings first. I don't know why, but I always do. The cassette and drones I didn't;t pay any attention to, bar a cursory glance - but I bought it. Then I watched the video on the cassette orchestra for curiosity and noticed presets. I've never been a lover of preset anything as I'd select one I liked and use it to death. The familiar interface appeared but then for the first time I noticed the split with two sounds and the mix knob in the middle. I have just spent two hours after I realised that tack piano, for example then clicking through the left/right buttons brought up the most amazing sounds. I've rediscovered the Junos from my youth - and instead of working on the real job in hand, I've got blown away by the weird sounds but most critically, what I can do with them in the interface. The combinations of the stock presented sounds is huge, and I've hardly got into tweaking. In the videos in the future, please don't gloss over these things - make them really obvious, because I had totally and utterly missed really important features. I was looking for X sounds, and happy Solstice had what I wanted but the entire alphabet is in there and I didn't notice. I'm so annoyed I totally missed the point. I had to stop experimenting and get the original job finished, but one of the videos I watched was an hour long - and I don't think any of the sounds I created this morning were in the video. The scope of Solstace is massive, and I was too stupid to get past the front page. I was happy with my purchase yesterday, but today I'm not going to get any work done at all. For the right reasons. Thanks Spitfire!

A 73GB download means I won't get to play with this till tomorrow! Outstanding stuff, can't wait to stick it through my own modular and f**k the hell out of it even more ;-)

To further illustrate my point, I recently composed a song (shameless plug) using the Cassette Orchestra only for 90% of the arrangement. It's called OXYM - Solstice, in case anybody might be interested.

Wonderful, if nothing else, some of the Cassette Orch sounds improve on and replace the old (wonderful, even today) Mellotron sounds, same organic, evocative, other-ey sound, but new and waiting for our input.

Really a huge fan of the cassette orchestra but if I might humbly make a suggestion I think it would be super super helpful to have an alternate way of selecting samples. For example I find myself often knowing that I want Strings long or Horn cluster or what have you and I usually want to have a way to quickly audition the different tonal options i.e. hysteresis/decay/low ips/etc and currently the only way to do that is to have to scroll through everything because of how they're organized. Is there any chance of something like this happening or an easy workaround? Thanks for the amazing library there's honestly so much jam packed into this one it's really phenomenal.

This looks like great fun. Recently rather than try to sound like real instruments Ive found I've generally being mangling my sample libraries so they don't sound like just copies of the real thing

Hi Christian, in a number of your walkthrough vids there is this lovely but demanding looking console directly behind you. The one with the walking sequence indicator lights. What on Earth is that?
Also, thanks for all your work on Solstice. I'm about to pick it up, little sleep in my near future I imagine.

I have to ask. Scottish, traditional, folk, celtic, gaelic, heritage yet modern, Edinburgh ........................... but no bagpipes? Was it a conscious decision to leave them out?
