Great episode, thank you. I enjoyed the discussion around their reading habits and the importance of becoming an intellectually curious person.

Thanks for another great discussion. Would you consider adding a second part? I think you need to highlight the beautiful enrichment Memoria Press offers for the primary years. The intellectual life to me includes music and art appreciation as well. The enrichment program incorporates those subjects in an approachable and enjoyable way.
As a mom knee-deep in the middle of my second year homeschooling with full Memoria Press cores, my personal reading time is rare. I am usually reading the books on my children's literature schedule. I might get an opportunity in the summer to read some more complex and higher level books, but I also may choose a beach read. Martin talks about establishing a reading place, that only works after my kids go to bed. By then I am usually drained. Tanya's suggestion about getting up earlier is much more doable.
MP's enrichment and children's literature allows me to participate in the intellectual life alongside my children at this stage of life where I am now.

Thank you for this great discussion. I will have to incorporate more fiction books into my reading life.

Who is mentioned at 28:30? The CCs says Sartolange but I am not familiar with this person. What did they write? Where can I find more?

      Hey Floris,
Great question. The individual mentioned is Antonin-Gilbert Sertillanges, a French Catholic philosopher and spiritual writer. He is best known for "The Intellectual Life," a practical guide for living one's life as a scholar, and "What Jesus Saw from the Cross," a spiritual book inspired by his time in Jerusalem. For further research, you can find more here bit.ly/3ohNXAr .
      We hope this helps!

Thank you for asking that! I just found a wonderful Christmas present from your question (“What Jesus Saw from the Cross”) - I’m here on an iPad with a split screen with one on the video and the other on Amazon looking them up and sending free samples to my kindle to check out :).

Can intellectuals figure out the importance of the distribution of steel in analyzing a supposed straight down collapse of a 1400 ft skyscraper?
