  • It is a goofy little thing but a great experience and a test bed for a few techniques and effects i wanted to try. Unlike most of my videos i will not be narrating this one and in ASMR style I will let you enjoy the sounds of scale modelling.

    Thank you for demonstrating the impossibility of this kit to modelers. Lovely to watch you build it, but thanks again for saving me money-since there is no way I am touching this kit.

    Another excellent build Metodi! Personally I prefer to hear your commentary during the build.
    The Rotachute really was a solution looking for a problem, which is why it never made it into operations. By the time a viable version was made, the army couldn’t find a use for it!

    This build was awesome, I was wondering what these kits were like. For small builds like this the lack of commentary works really well, but for bigger builds I like to have a voice over explaining techniques and methods

    Great video as usual, Metodi. I believe both styles, narrated and live sound, fit the way you build models. I like the way the Rotachute came out. It's one of those little critters that really add to a collection, even if it's for how weird they are. Well done.

    One of the first “top-notch” videos on modelling matter was videos with only “natural” sound: airbrush blowing, scratching, etc. I was squire impressed back then… And I like it as far. I don’t mind voice, though.

  • @antoeknee4511
    @antoeknee4511 Год назад +2

    I liked this build as a no talking video because it was a small project. For the bigger models, I think it is best to have explainations as you build it. Why do you burn the PE parts? Once again it was a pleasure to watch you build. Great job!

    Very relaxing...and nice to see your techniques up close on a small simple model (must have made filming easier). I know you tend to mix colors by sight/feel rather than a standard 2x1 or so...have you thought about adding a text bar on the bottom when you show the paint pot w/the mix/airbrush setting you're using? Also understand not wanting to write a script on a very visual model with so few parts...it's like a movie where you trust your audience to understand what the plot is without explaining it in heavy exposition. Well done.

    • @MMScaleModels
      @MMScaleModels  Год назад

      Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback. Regarding pressure and mixing ratios. As you already mentioned I don't do mixing ratios... it is the same with pressure. Trying to get as low as possible for the paint and the airbrush. That's the approach that works best for me. Of course if I only need to apply something like primer or varnish it gonna be higher so I can cover more area faster :)

  • @bugler75

    I liked the quietness with the natural sounds but I missed your voiceover!
    The video itself was well planned and executed as in it was easy to follow what you were doing.
    Try one with the natural sounds but perhaps with some explanations y yourself for the best of both worlds ?
    Whatever you decide to do, I will still be watching 👍🏼
    Thanks !
    Ian

    • @MMScaleModels
      @MMScaleModels  Год назад +1

      Thanks for your feedback mate. It is difficult to combine voiceover with natural sounds so that the dont cancel each other out. Way too much work on the video production end for my taste... prefer the bench 😄

  • @pianoballad2

    I enjoyed this build, love the subject because it's so unusual. I find that I lose interest quickly for videos where there is nothing but the sounds of the building itself, so to be honest I fast forwarded and just watched some parts along the way. My preferences in order would be:
    - commentary with background music
    -background music with text discussing the steps
    -silence with text
    I always enjoy listening to you talk about the building steps in your videos. I've been modelling for 49 years and I understand your techniques, but anyone just getting into the hobby may not without a description. (For example when you anneal the PE at 6:08). Whatever you decide I'll keep watching!

  • @badman5509
    @badman5509 Год назад +1

    Once again a great result. It's a pleasure to watch you. I still have one question that might not come up in a video with spoken commentary: according to my information, the Rotachute Mk III was covered with wood in the rear, unlike the previous versions. Are then the "folds" not out of place? Or is my info wrong?
