Very detailed and direct to the point. Well done, Hafriz. I do agree with the rear seat spacing comparison with HRV, and I really appreciate Proton for putting arm rest for rear seat as my HRV doesn't have one. Both are comfort to sit, especially during long hauls due to its declined positioning. But the HRV lacks arm rest which I really need it whenever I'm not driving. Again, well done Hafriz and PT team!

3-cylinder engines are not only imbalanced because of their arrangement of cylinders. It is also the firing order, there is a period of time within the combustion cycle where there are no power stroke, whereas in a 4 or more cylinder engine, there is always a power stroke somewhere. But I guess explaining it in this 1 hour review will be too lengthy already. :P Kudos to the great review! Hi, when are you going to make a full comparison video between X50, new HR-V, Corolla Cross and maybe Cherry Omoda 5?

good review with pros and cons. one thing though, the engine vibration is pretty obvious when trying to accelerate from low speed in sport mode. when cruising normally, pretty quiet & smooth. DCT is a nice one. not as aggressive as one from VW but smooth but i think the dct is nicely mated to the engine (nice one proton + geely)

I did test drive both X50 and X70 last week.
X50. V comfortable in KL traffic. I have short legs and long back so front seat design was perfec for me. Noticed t L wing mirror constraint. Punchy and smooth over t short distances available.
Not lkg for t sunroof so happy w t Premium spec.
Only serious negative was rear seats vv firm 4/10.
    X70 came poor second.

Hi Hafriz ! Do update us if you have found a fix on the brake clicking sound during traffic jam assist. It always feels like something is hitting something and it’s bound to break soon. Anxious!
By the way, excellent video of great attention to details!

Has proton addressed the sound from the A pillar, side mirror and clicking sound from the brakes system ?

Wonder after 2 years, have Proton solved the main issue he explained during Traffic Jam assist brake sound and Auto Hold pedal sound ? Anyone can advise from a owner's point ?

Hi Paul, re your feedback on the "annoying" brake clicking sound during autohold and release operations, i reckon it has to do with solenoid engagement/disengagement of the actuator mechanism for the brakes.
    Please advise if I'm correct.
