I have he 10 footer and love it I have also had and still have a kayak love this way more can fit two people easy with comfort. small trolling motor for small lakes is plenty but for bigger lakes a small gas motor is better for 1500 I have both would recommend this over a kayak all day long.
Hope so but I doubt it. It depends on the weight. The 3.5 is the same motor as the 2.5 just carb differently so it has higher RPM. At least that is what I have been told.
Hello, Thank you for posting this video. I am about to buy this tiny boat over a sit-on-top kayak. I am about 240 pounds, well in the compacity range but is it really comfortable for a. larger person. an I ask about your height and weight? Sorry I know its personal
Not a problem 5' 9" 185. There are a lot of RUclips videos showing this boat with bigger people and they seem to like it. For comfort, you might want to get a better seat than the plastic one it comes with, but that is an easy upgrade as almost any boat seat will fit on the seat stand. I had a Kayak (Power Catch 100) I like this boat a lot better, more stable and a little more room. Just FYI this is an 8 footer.
also leave it original less is more no decks seats very comfortable yes you can stand and cast no problem you can sit and cast no problem don't need all the mods and crap just a trolling motor and a gas motor mainly for high winds because trolling motor worthless in high wind need a little something with a little more balls.
Agree. what you see is all I have done. Just a front troller and back motor. All the other stuff like casting decks just adds weight not needed. In fact I have since removed the fish finder didn't prove to be that helpful and the maps was not needed for me. I fish the old fashion way.

I started with a Kayak and I also like this much better. More stable.
I'm going to go with the 3.5hp motor. Hope it gets over 10mph
