Once you unlock and build the hospital in the DLC you can ask to see the doctor and the doctor will give you things based on what you say is wrong. I just got double nose tissues for my runny nose, which is basically tissue stuck up each nostril. I also got head bandages for a headache. My daughters character got Mummy wrap costume for a hurt knee. Be sure to go see the Doctor.
I used to be an adventurer like you. Then I took an arrow in the knee.

If you talk to the receptionist at the hospitsl you can ask to see the doctor. You choose sn ailment snd they'll give you something based off of it.

As great as it is having Leif selling vegetables on the island I wish the rotations would actually be guaranteed to change each week, in my game he's still selling sugarcane and I'm not the type of player to time travel.
Are you allowing visitors? I can bring you potatoes or carrots in exchange for sugarcane because that's the one I'm missing

There's another little detail having to do with Happy Home Paradise:
If you build the resturant and talk to the chef you chose, you can actually get cooking recipes from them

Not really a shop, but the teacher at the school in HHP will give you a plumeria start once per day. Also, Redd will replace any art piece you buy with something new the next day, so even though he technically only restocks once per week you can still get a new piece every day

I felt something was odd as the Warrior Statue was still there after I bought something else. This is pretty good to speed things up in getting art from him.
another slight detail about wardell's shop: his shop is about 10% cheaper than having to buy the same item for bells
If you do the poki exchange it's more expensive though, by a fair bit :'l
If you do want to get the small books and magazines from Redd, just a tip that you can go to Reese to customize them into every variation too! (don’t be me and dump 150k bells to that fox trying to get them through rng c,:)

Someone help me out? I got the text dialogue from Redd that he runs a raffle now, but can't seem to unlock the actual raffle? I've bought all the art, I go & talk to him & he basically tells me to have a nice day but does not offer me any raffle tickets?? What am I forgetting to do or what am I doing wrong??
Some unlocks I got which I think really aren't common knowledge in the DLC. I just really want to spread awareness of this, but I'm also hoping to find out where the unlocks actually end? I think I'm on 47th house?
I'm not fully sure at what number I unlocked these but:
- The restaurant expands to get an upper floor, which is called "private dining room"
- You get more soundscapes (I think?)
- You rank up and your pay becomes 20,000 poki
- Your cafe expands and gains an extra floor, which is a gallery
- At least at 40 houses, you get a new party to celebrate
- At some point Lottie gives you a new app. It's basically a portable room designer, so you don't have to go to the island. You can use whatever rooms you design on the actual island too.
I'm already at 15000 Poki but good to hear that it will rise more. The throne is still so expensive at Wardell

This basically explains why the Cranny didn’t get an upgrade because there’s several shops in different areas now. Harvey’s, Museum and Archipelago. It’s amazing how unlike HHD, the facilities all have real purpose since it didn’t have a real connection to NL, and can also get upgrades even after the main goal of HHP.
Even though there are still a couple of misses in this update it’s great there is still a TON of surprises not mentioned.
I still think the cranny should expand. We also had those shops in New leaf and still got a Shopping mall with Grazia (the designer giraffe). The shops are no excuse.
@@freyafrettchen3808 I never played New Leaf but I do admit there could of been some sort of upgrade. Thing is Paradise Planning shop just allows the player to order anything they got from working on homes which then is allowed for purchase in Nook Shopping.
Only thing I can think of is a raffle system like in the original to get rare items and more space for items to appear. But all well, hopefully they do something next AC game.
There is a Harvey's in animal crossing? Man,have you tried their chicken bacon poutine. That stuff is top-notch.
6:29 you can actually buy 6 pieces of clothing. You can have up to 6 mannequins in the shop.

If you give souvenir chocolates to your villagers, they'll come to the happy home paradise island, where you can design a vacation home for them. No amiibo card needed if you have your favorite villagers on your island.
i believe joan shows up at the hospital every monday for a check-up. you can also go for a check-up and get a random free item once a day, and if you talk to the receptionist you’ll be able to donate poki (120,000) to build a patient ward upstairs!
also, once you spend enough poki in the shop with wardell (not sure exactly how much, i was basically just buying all five items everyday lol) you unlock a poki abd which allows you to exchange poki for bells or vice versa, however there is a daily limit (up to 15,000 poki) and the exchange rates vary from day to day-i think the most i’ve gotten was around 50,000 bells for 15,000 poki.
and this isn’t a shop thing but if you talk to one of the potential clients on the beach and decline to build their vacation home at that time, then you encounter the same client on a different day, they’ll run up to you to get your attention because they remember you! and not only that, if you say yes on a different day, you’ll actually get a small bonus from lottie with your payment because the client “asked for you by name”!
So for HHP: every shop has its little secrets.
School: speak to the teacher daily to receive an item(for me its mostly azalea shrubs)
Café: buy food items
Restaurant: speak to the cook daily to receive a random cooking recepie
Hospital: talk to the receptionist to get a free accessory
Clothing store: basically random clothes
I always get pink camelias from dom (my teacher) 😭😭
Something I have yet to see anyone mention isn't really a shop, but it's still cool: In HHP, once you've completed a vacation home, go to the beach behind the stone arch on the island the next day. You'll find your vacationers there--and if they aren't out on a floaty, talking to them will result in them giving you an item. You can only get one gift from each vacationer and so far, I've only gotten wallpaper and flooring.
Only thing that's a little disappointing is that harvs island shops don't update daily. Seems like its once a week unless it's another possible glitch. I still like to go there daily to get a reading from katrina she's adorable and I chat to all the characters. The best bit in the game for me is the islanders hanging out at your home. Today I finally had Merry come visit, showed her around played games and even danced together was super cute. Especially when she eventually sat in the cat basket reading her book omg was to cute for words 😍. I snapped a few shots and posted them on my Facebook as was so adorable I had to share with all my friends. They think I'm ac crazy lol they would be right 😆😊

as long as you buy something from Redd he will replace the item the next day with a new one :) just have to buy the fake paintings...
i'm guessing they don't want you to buy all the items in the game within just a couple of weeks so they rotate it weekly

I honestly kinda find it annoying how often my villagers visit my house when I'm trying to redecorate.
Since Joan is modelled in the game now, it'd be cool if occasionally she showed up instead of Daisy Mae. And also Flick and CJ occasionally getting Nat and Chip instead would be neat
She's in the hospital from carrying all those turnips for so many years, let the poor woman rest lol
You can also get a daily cooking recipe from the restaurant chef on the HHP island
Also Wardells shop is just like the Nook Shopping Catalog - you can’t order limited items (like from Saharah and Gulliver) & you can’t order DIY items
You can get clothing items by talking to the clerk at the hospital in HHP, too, quite a few items based on what you claim youre ill with.
I wish that you could purchase fruit trees through Wardell since you’re able to use trees on the outside of villagers vacation homes
I would also like to say it seems easier to get seasonal DIY’s now too. I actually found 3 Mush series recipes and I talked to an Islander that decorated their house for and they randomly gave me a Cherry Blossom Wallpaper.
If you get the dialogue saying that you "put a lot of time" into their house, they give you a wall/floor/rug you used in their house if you talk to them again. I think you have to spend 15-20 minutes decorating for this to happen.

I have gotten SO MANY books and magazines from Redd's raffle! You can also take them to Cyrus and he can customize them for you for 1000 bells if you REALLY want to be a completionist or if there's a specific book or magazine you want.
I just discovered that you could buy food from the cafe yesterday. It’s really strange to me that you can order full meals from the cafe but not the restaurant
But you can get a recipe from your head chef once a day.

Head into he back of the restaurant (dlc), into the kitchen and talk to whoever you set as the chef. They give you a cooking recipe (one a day). In the hospital ask the receptionist to see the doctor. Go through the dialogues and the doctor will give you an item (cast, head bandage, eye bandage).
I wish you were able to customise clothing at the paradise clothes shop (similar to Reese with furniture). It kinda sucks being a worse able sisters with only a handful of unique items

She's usually doing yoga in front of Harv's house, so you can still talk to her. She doesn't seem to have any unique/special dialogue however, which is a drag.
I read that after so many hair cuts from her she stops doing them and just walks around. It makes me sad after so many you won’t be able to have that option anymore.

I've gotten the pocketbook and the magazine too. You can customize them with Cyrus to match the villagers flowers and bug books!
The museum posters are some of my favourite new items, the only area I haven’t completed yet is the art but I have the other 4 and they all look so cool

Yes Wardell! I discovered that before too and I was like omg we get EVERYTHING it’s the best, now I can use poki for something. Best part is I can trade my poki into bells so I can edit my island easily now haha…it truly is “let’s go to work”
I like getting recipes from the chef in the restaurant! That’s such a cool feature
I chose the cafe first and while you dont get receipes you can buy food and drink items! They change daily!
Something I don't like about lamps it's that if you put many in an interior some of them don't light enough :(

What I think should be added is the possibility to buy clothes from a catalogue just like we do with furniture from Wardell. There's so many clothing items I'd love to have but never appeared in my shops 😔
unpopular opinion: I hate villagers coming to my house because it's always the ones I don't like and it's right before I want to do something

I’ve been lucky and some of my favorite villagers have come to visit me. It’s a little inconvenient because I’ve always been doing something when they come but I don’t mind. Marty actually invited me to his house and we played a round of higher or lower, I won.
My character was pantsless on the toilet when somebody started knocking on the door once. Funniest thing we've seen so far. Still wish you could put up a do not disturb sign or something so that I'm not always tense while arranging furniture.
if you try walking out of your house i’m pretty sure they’ll say it’s time for them to go or something like that, it’s happened to me a couple of times

I kept talking to the NPC in the clothing shop trying to get clothes and felt lied to. I felt like maybe my shop was glitched or something. I didn't realize I had to talk to the manequins to purchase there. I'm gonna try t out as soon as I finish designing a home
The pocket book is customisable (maybe just at Cyrus’s not sure if you can do it yourself) so if you want a specific type like flowers etc then they can change it for you 😊
What I really like about the pocketbook is that you can customize it so you can get all varieties!!
One of the things I love more is that the chef from the restaurant gives you every day a new recipe!
You can also get items by doing the group stretches every day!

@@paigeofthebook the first thing you get is some kind of sports dress and then you also get a yoga matt, a dumbbell and after having done the 50. stretching you get all the stretching exercises as emotes. You recieve the items in the mail the next day. The dumbbell can also be bought again in the nook shop app and can be customized by cyrus
On HHP! Apparel shop, on music festival days, you can buy EXCLUSIVE party clothes!

The cable car wallpaper is my favourite. I'm just buying the fakkes/real art from redd everyday to refresh it to find my last 2 bits of art. Bonus is my friends are getting all the extra real ones.

I like how you can now buy furniture from the Townsfolk you're invited to visit. I've been able to get some furniture variations which do not show up at the Cranny. Unfortunately, they don't sell you some rare furniture, like Octavian wouldn't sell me any of his space-themed stuff.
Anything you buy in Wardell's shop will show up in the Nook Shopping feature. Same with the items you customize on Harv's Island with Cyrus's help of course.

Thanks for the info. I unlocked the HHP catalogue today but didn't speak to Wardell as I thought it was only going to be the things that had been for sale in the shop. I'm excited to be able to shop the things I've been able to use to decorate
Holy snap I didn’t know you could buy stuff from Wardell like that! That makes me feel so much better! I was bummed that we earned poki instead of bells, and I was hoping that we’d have more options to make bells other than fishing. But this is a good alternative! Being able to buy furniture from a catalog with poki! It actually gives me a reason to go to work and earn poki.

@@ItsCottonie The only catch is that it's limited to 15,000 a day, but there's a conversion rate that usually doubles or triples the amount of bells you get.

Well, Harvey does make a comment at one point as to whether it's an island so much as an archipelago...a Harvipelago? ...so your mistake isn't as bad as it could have been.
I've been making use of Wardell's secret shop for some time now. At this point I'm mostly using it to "unlock" items to add to my Nook catalog (one of my long term goals is to add as much to that catalog as I can), but at least one item--the outdoor kitchen--was ordered so that I could finally add cooking stations outdoors without it looking too jank. (Ordered one from Wardell to get the catalog entry, and ordered more from Nook Shopping once that was done.) And yes, I'm glad that Reese and Cyrus are part of this update.
Moreso Cyrus. Reese doesn't have anything to do.

if you go into the kitchen of the restaurant, and talk to the head chef, he will give you a free cooking DIY, every day. Also if you go to the hospital, you can tell the receptionist that you're unwell, and get a free item of clothing, based on how you're sick. There's 6 clothing items total, as far as I can tell
teeny little nitpick: the chef can be anyone, so it'd be more accurate to say "they" in this context

some items aren't available in Wardell's shop even if you used them for a home... there is a skateboard rack I wanted but the item wasn't there to order/ same with some Sahara's Wallpaper rugs and flooring. but I did get some sets I really wanted like the Moroccan...
Anything linked to DIY isn't avaliable, I went through and semi tested it
The stake board rack is a diy I believe I gotta recheck the available diy list again
Wardell is literally gonna become my savior at this rate

@@snek3196 you have to open all facilities and after I was done with the last one the shop I could open a second floor in the cafe! Don't cost anything, it's a gallery.
With enough roommates, you can also expand the restaurant with a private room for roommates!

As soon as I got Froggy Chair as an item I can order for Wardell, I immediately began time traveling to get like 50+ Froggy Chairs😅

(I don't know if you will see this or not) Ben, There's like a forest around the new shopping area, Do you think there could be a possible upgrade where Harvey has you gather resources to make 1 big shop (like a mall). This is an original concept I thought of and was wondering your thoughts.

The only updates they are going to do are bug fixes, and very small changes.

correct, but technically, you can assign any villager to be the chef, not just male villagers
(point is that in this context, "they" would be more appropriate, since anyone can be the chef)

I never realized talking to servers gives you that menu of food!! Another new detail with the restaurant specifically is if you talk to the villager that is the main chef, they'll give you cooking DIYs.
