If you think this is weak, keep in mind that the Compass and Patriot are - for all intents and purposes - jacked up Dodge Calibers without a low range t-case or the ability to physically lock any part of the drivetrain. All of the off-road capability is in the ESP software and it's pretty damn impressive for what it is, IMO. I wouldn't take it through the Darien Gap, but for the off-roading 99% of the world does, it's more than capable enough. I still wouldn't buy one, though.
