Copa pure, Puma future ultimate, Tekela v4 pro low, Phanthom gx, Furon v7 pro, and last Tiempo 10 and last part of my question is do you notice/feel the difference of padding on the ball like is the padding difference noticeable on the ball, thanks a lot Noah for answering my questions and I love your content by the way. I loved the upper on the previous generation, but would you say the break-in time is truly a pain. My foot shape is perfect for these, but the heel area hurts on the first few uses. However, once that phase is done, they are truly class boots, and the fact that once the colorways are replaced, the boot is available for about $120-170, makes them a truly attractive option for people looking for a top end speed boot. (By the way I transferred the insoles from my now broken ultras to my copas and they really help with grip). In short, they have to be broken in before you can really appreciate it.

Puma has fallen off the pace in the competitive "speed boot" segment. For me the Ultra Ultimate 1.0 fit well and was very thin. But I didn't like how the heel felt, that more then anything ruined my experience in them. It looks like the revised Ultra Ultimate is more of the same. Which is a shame because the Ultra 1.3/1.4 were great and offered good value.
But puma do seem to have lost their way recently. They seemingly sacrificed a fantastic speedboot in the Ultra 1.3/1.4 for something that looks much, much worse (similar to Speedflow > Speedportal so guess so all brands do it). I just cannot get behind a synthetic Puma King either (same with Tiempo X). The Future’s seem a good all round boot but nothing mind blowing. Considering they are often referred to as ‘one of the big 3’, New Balance absolutely pisses over Puma’s current line up. There’s levels to this and you could even argue that NB are as good a Adidas rn and not far away from Nike.
It blows my mind how they’ve really fallen off with the Ultra line especially how good the the first 3-4 generations of the Ultras were. It’s almost like it’s a habit puma still does to this day like they infamously did with the evopower in the early 2010s. I’m all for a good old break in time but not to the point where my feet are guaranteed to be crushed and worse I could have blisters on heels. Puma at this point is nowhere near new balance,Asics or mizuno let alone Nike and adidas. They’ve fallen so far behind at this point
Bro literally just tried these on Saturday and they were so bad that I wanted to write a letter to puma. Not even the old Nike Superflys were this bad.

And I was going to tell you that because you don't try the superfly since the vapors doesn't work for you, as I understand they say that the superfly for people with thicker feet is better option. I want to check it because the same thing happens to me as to you with the pain in the foot.
Ngl I hate these football boots and i haven't tried them out, ultimates first generation was great for me, loved how raw and lightweight they were, these look way worse in performance, ill switch to the morelia neo iv elites as this generation doesnt look great at all
For an example Pumas size 9 us is a 42... that's Adidas's 8.5 us and 9 US is 42 2/3 Eu. I am between 9 and 9.5 US. I can squeeze into some 9 US but no way I can squeeze into a 42 Eu. That .5 and 2/3 difference is huge
@@footlooseboots i know for me 42.5 Nike is tight which is 9 us. Adidas is 42 2/3 which fits perfect for me. There's no way I'm fitting into a 42 comfortably
If this was a one off review, then I would say that might be the case. But he’s worn 50+ pair of boots in over a dozen brand (including puma), so I think he knows what size he wears lol. He usually varies his sizing to get the perfect fit, so even less reason to think he’s off and should look at a basic size chart lol

Mine arrived on Friday. They really feel stiffer and narrow than the previous ultras. We'll have to see how they soften with use.

They're nice for sure, but I don't care for that classic feeling unless it's a modern adaptation like the Horenso or the Morelia 2.

None of the Nike boots have a particularly wide toe area unfortunately... The NB 442 is a great!

Just a suggestion. You might be having problems with sizing with the different brands. Find your Eu sizing that fits comfortably and go with that

It’s possible but the dude does go up/down in size for other brands, so it’s unlikely the fit will be better for Noah if he gets a size half up.
