Welcome to the LC RACING car / truggy and their brushless EMB-DTH which is the equivalent of the WLTOYS 124016. Very durable and great quality RC from LC Racing. But the most impressive part what the control I felt I had. So easy to drive.

I've been waiting on this vid, sir. Thank you.
I'll take both 👍 the car and for sure the scenery...✌😎👍
Really good review as always I do like that car. Left a thumbs up 👍
Nice review and beautiful scenery, perfect combo 👍
Awesome review 👏
Great review. It's nice how you drive it off-road and on-road and give details about the buggy. It's a very nice looking car and seems to be well constructed. Reminds me of the 124016 and that one seems to really have some good get up and go. Thanks for sharing this beauty. 👍
Wow very nice👍👍👍😍
Thanks for sharing john. Ive always wanted the truggy and the sct from lc racing.
Get the SCT first, it's the one I got and it's a beast. I put on the wider alloy hexes and now it turns like it's glued to the ground. The bumpers/body surely make it the most durable of the lot, although I put a different body on mine. Now it needs a friend, the truggy, buggy, or desert buggy :)
Hello John, another great video, and great toy... Especially painting looks awesome... Have a nice day.
Hey John and Colin. That certainly looks nicer than the WLToys version in my opinion. Love the rear spoiler. Looks like performance wise it's not too shabby either. Thanks for the panoramic views. I will get out there one day.
The blue and white body paint scheme and white wheels look much better than the Wltoys model. The tires look like a better quality. 😀
I have recently gotten into RC and have put al least 75 battery packs through a 144001. I also have a 124017 V2. I also recently picked up an LC-racing EMB-TGH, the truggy version of the extended wheelbase LC racing platform. I can say for sure the drivetrain and other components are much better quality on the LC racing car and it handles better. The WLtoys cars are fun, but use cheap soft metal in the drivetrains and will require replacement after hard use (yes I greased the diffs). There are subtle design details and higher quality parts everywhere that make the LC cars better. The only reason to go with WLtoys over LC racing is initial cost as your first RC. Be prepared to have that initial savings eroded by additional part replacement costs and maintenance on the WLtoys. A fairly easy gear change (which is not easy on WLtoys) would bring the top speed of this car in line with the 124016.
This is exactly the info I needed, especially the handling. Thank you. The wltoys are appealing on price only when they are on sale. Stuck between the new 144010 and the emb buggy.
When you say gear change are you simply referring to a bigger pinion gear? If so couldn't this cause cogging like on the 124016/7 version 1,as they pinion gear was to large ( 27t) they had to gear it down (19t) which slowed it right down though much better excelleration and then give it a much higher kv motor so it was still the same top speed.
Surely giving it a much bigger pinion would cause cogging on this one or it may cause the esc and motor to get really 🔥.
I don't actually know this for a fact so I'm asking if you have actually changed the gearing and if so did any of the issues I've brought up occur or were you simply saying putting in a bigger pinion will make it faster ( as it does ) without actually changing the gearing, cheers mate
wltoys are a big difference in price though. There is a $120 difference between LC racing and the wltoys. $140 wltoys and $260 for LC racing with lipo included. Part replacement is high on the wltoys but also you haven't had the lcracing nearly as long? I imagine parts are going to need to be replaced too and the wltoys parts being cheaper will definitely help there.
I'm a bit late to the party but I was curious if there is a noticable difference in strength of the roll cage compared to the wltoys. Is is quite a cartwheel happy car and every time it does that the wing mount area breaks. Is this one tougher?
I was wondering if you can help me? I am looking for the tie rod end “ball screws” that the stock links and steering link snap onto? I have looked and looked on banggood and alli express. For the 124019. In the manual they are part numbers: 1337, 1338, and A202-04. Thank you.
I'd love to know which parts would be usable on the wl version. I believe the axles are.
Do you think the better control is down to the electronics or other components? I have the wl toys and thinking of future upgrades. Thanks for great review
LC racing has a much better suspension and chassis. Not to mention slipper clutch protecting everything.
This video shows that off-road, at this scale, it's too much speed to control this rcs. That's the reason I still prefer brushed versions for all terrain rcs at least till 1/12 scale. On tarmac is different though.
Nah speed is good 😆 brushless all the way,if you think that's uncontrollable well the wltoys is a good 15 kph faster
Is that your 1st LC racing model?? They are so much better than the wltoys clones-materials are much better quality and they are usually set up properly from the box. Ive got 144001 and the LC truggy, and even upgraded the 144001 doesnt compare to the truggy. And the way wltoys are going in price, there isnt as much difference now. also, you need to stick a 3s in it-close to 50mph on 3s and lc racing do bigger pinions for them so you can make em even quicker really simply. The std pinion is 15 i think-17 or 18 on 3s is nippy as heck!
How about 3S?
I have the SCT, same motor and probably same pinion and it goes about 45-50 I'd say.
try if you compete with wltoys 124016 v2, which one do you think is faster?🤔
Well he said this one was 52 kph and the wltoys claims 75kph which is 46mph ,I don't think they quite get there but watching other speedrun videos people were getting 40/41/42 mph so the wltoys is definitely quicker. As John said by at least 15kkph
Also wltoys is 1/12th and this is 1/14th so it's slightly bigger but not much in it. Yes this handles slightly better and they use better parts but the wltoys is a good bit faster and you can just upgrade the parts so I went for the wltoys 124017 and have upgraded to metal wishbones, steering components, gearbox housing and rods etc also you get a 60 amp esc in the wltoys instead of 35 amp in this, so you can run the wltoys 3s.
The wltoys are just cheaper versions of lc racing but faster and easily upgraded so I'd always say spend less on the faster 3s capable wltoys then just upgrade to improve. This ends up making them both about the same cost but you definitely have the speed advantage and you don't have to spend the money in one go as you can upgrade as you can afford it.or you don't have to upgrade as the wltoys is still good out the box but you will break things on the wltoys toys due to them using cheaper parts.
Don't know if this helps and I'm probably far too late but that's my experience, hope it helps
@@davidmellish3295 The pinion that the LC racing bring is 17t, the engine support is adjustable and you can change that sprocket for one of more teeth, if you put one of 19t like that of the Wltoys then you will get similar speeds, the advantage is that it can be changed and in the WLtoys no!
@@Xavyerzc yes but you can run 3s on the wltoys and you can use the motor mount from the 124019 and use mod1 gearing in the wltoys and gear it up and it's much faster than the lc
Well I was expecting more if I'm honest bud.about as fast as the brushed version of the wltoys.👍
Except the quality of the parts are so much better quality with the LC Racing I own both WL Toys and LC Racing and the LC Racing parts are in a different league wltoys are a clone of LC Racing using lower end parts hence the price difference I always buy rollers or kits so I can put my own electronics in as company's never supply decent electronics
@@NoLimitRC87 I'm very much aware of this.did you actually read my comment.i never touched on build quality or price point.everyone knows wltoys are clones but for a cheap Chinese knock off they are pretty bulletproof.ive beaten mine in skate parks BMX tracks and I don't go easy on my cars because I enjoyed fixing them.but the only thing to ever break on my wltoys is the plastic shock mount so I replaced it with a metal one from the 144001. Obviously the drive shafts are made from chocolate as we no but they straighten easy enough.👍
@@NoLimitRC87 part quality aside. Is the price jump worth it to LC racing in regards to handling? You can always make a car faster but handling is much harder. I'm getting responses that it's only marginally better as far as handling goes.
@@NoLimitRC87 Yeah but the current LC racing is $260 for the DTH with lipo and I'm pretty sure the wltoys brushless is around $130 on aliexpress. That's literally 1/2 the price. Yes the wltoys transmitter is not my favorite and the handling is not as good, but you can buy 2 for the same price.
@@overnightclassic2 but your argument makes no sense id rather pay more and get a car that drives and handles better where the parts are of a much better quality and last longer I have wltoys myself the 124019 is what got me back into RC but after having my lc racing arrma typhon 6s axial scx10.3 I'd never buy another wltoys i still have my 124019 but it doesn't even get looked at no more
try here 35.87791131715743, 14.563430260987761 next time you go to Zonqor, that part is flatter and not as harsh as where you usually go for these small scale cars. Nice little car btw, I love my LC EMB-SCH, It fits easily in a backpack and is great fun in the right conditions.
