I do think them adding a boss that teaches PvP basics would be. Here's what I'm thinking: A humanoid boss with access to protection prayers. The boss reads your current attack style and prays accordingly 1 to 2 ticks later. This encourages switching your weapons with appropriate timing to deal more damage. However, the boss does have a finite amount of prayer points, and we can utilize Smite to deplete their points to disable their prayers. Hell, just to stay on theme if the boss is smited, you get an additional loot roll or something. Lastly, the boss will read your current defences and your current protection prayer to decide the best attack style to attack with. This defensive check can happen every 2 ticks, and the boss will switch their own gear accordingly 2 ticks later. Similar to how the blobs are in Inferno. This will keep the boss threatening by always trying to maximize it's own damage. Oh, also maybe have some low-health healing mechanic that occurs a limited number of times. This incentivises learning how to KO an opponent quickly. All of the loot from this boss should just be blighted supplies and would be a relevant location to introduce the blighted overloads maybe.
Just for clarification, I am not an experienced Pker and only have a handful of personal experiences doing so, but that feels like a nice start for people learning. Once you can beat this boss, it's just a matter of applying what you learned to a real fight no?
What's your suggesting would just help for people in tribridding. Just go to LMS then. Tribridding really doesn't translate entirely into normal PVP fighting.
@ianp6994 Is that not the most likely PvP style a casual player would encounter in the wilderness? Being attacked by an individual who utilizes all 3 combat styles? Again, I felt that this was just a starting off point for people interested to learn in a more controlled environment. Yeah, I can go to LMS. But it may not be a productive learning experience if you just get dominated, even in a safe environment.

Finally someone knows how the community was. Oldschool Rev’s was so active. Multi. If they brought that back and never touched pvp again I think people would be fine. This is a monthly topic now and an entire community has been diminishing. So many clans, engagement back then.

being an active pker, multi pking is very active noob friendly and easy to learn how to tank and pile and use useful weapons like d spears,d scims, theres also singles nh 65+cb ge pking is all rushing and bh pking is noneskulling +4 items risking 40-100k vs someone who doesnt have gear advantage

I honestly don't really care about the wilderness, I just wish that they made hardcore ironmen have a reduced rate on their clue step being in the wildy. It's not so bad now with the new Hueycoatl gear, it's given the option to skip god d hide altogether so hard clues are not so needed apart from that early black d hide.
One complaint I see is the multi issue for solo players. I have a hot take to solve this: make whole wilderness singles combat. BUT in exchange, add a few dedicated clan/team worlds with PvP multi EVERYWHERE in the wildy, and in compensation have some of the avarice effects active for free without the skull on those worlds and maybe a bonus drop rate / resource harvesting rate (excluding the big ticket items). Rebalance all the mobs+bosses drop rates/gp rates accordingly. So solo players can always do their activities while knowing they will at most be 1v1s, multi teams/clans can fight it out to control those worlds incentivized by increased profit, and this removes the whole janky singles-to-multi interactions entirely. There might be a few issues with alt-boxing in singles worlds but this could be easily solved by a truce timer that allows PJs if you and the boxer have been logged in next to each other for a while without attacking.
They need to revive pvp worlds, give people incentives to log into these worlds and risk it. Could be better loot or drops, for pvm or pvp. back in the day we had drop potential and the more you had the better the drops.
They need to bring more people to pk for fun doing pvm into the wild so it’s not so targeted, and they need to REALLY bring the sweaty neck beards skill down or something.
The game mechanics in 2007 are not the same today. The servers are more responsive there was switching gear and prayers in split seconds back in real 2007. That means the skill gap was a lot smaller compared to today. Bounty hunter and pvp worlds was a mistake should have kept everything in the wilderness
I want pvp worlds to be revived. I hate BH i feel like the pings always shit and there is too many people. One thing i wish happened that would have saved pvp was downvoted was not having to take the exp from quests. Another thing that needs to be done in pvp is jagex needs to crack down on people with swapping and combo bots. Its just atupid and unfair.

Holy strawman. Most of the people complaining about the wildy are 1500-2k+, AKA average players. No one at 500 total has reason to enter the wildy in the first place. Irons complain because they HAVE to step into the wildy for a lot of important upgrades that require hundreds of hours of farming if you go dry. Yeah, don't be a victim about it, crying about the wildy only feeds the trolls. But there's quite a few legitimate reasons people really dislike getting ragged 15 times an hour. For that exact reason i suggest everyone to bond up a scouting alt anytime they need to farm the wildy, pkers don't get any loot off you when you see them coming in advance, if they want to make your life annoying, make theirs annoying too.
Wilderness = Player Killing LMS = PVP BH = PVP "PVPers" dont go to Wildy to PVP, they're there to hunt down players. PKers are not PVPers, they are opportunists. Wildy PVP is dead.

I think power creep is to blame for the state of PvP you blink onces and your dead because they max hit your hp

Bring back MULTI in Rev CAVES! This game is soooo single player experience it's ridiculous.
Multi revs was good jagex just should have made it so there is no revs caves in total skill worlds.

I dont enjoy bosses i the wildly, it turns pvmers into bait for pkers and theyre at an inherant disadvantage because of the decreased supplies.
I think pvp is fun... Until the sweat freezes me and walks underneath, and I can't even respond to getting attacked
