I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this playlist. It is crazy helpful for those of us that are hair challenged. I have purchased all of your products and want to follow along exactly to make sure I am doing all steps correctly. Thanks a bunch, Abbey!
although I’ve been following you for years, I haven’t been following your advice exactly and my menopause hair is just not doing well. it literally becomes more dry everyday and I only wash it because of my scalp and to introduce more oil, not take it away! in any case, i’m excited to follow this post wash leave in routine. it sounds like it will certainly be an improvement to what i’m doing. so grateful for you! if you ever want to do a video on hair on women who literally produce zero oil and have terribly dry, unruly, used to be straight but is now curly and super fine hair, i’d be indebted to you!
This might sound cliche, but a good multivitamin and a daily cup of green tea are so good for hormonal symptoms. I can really notice a difference when I fall off my nutrition routine. My head just stops producing oils, and my skin gets so dull. The tea especially gets my scalp working again 😊
If you decide to use a spray leave in I recommend sectioning your hair, spraying the product in your hands, and applying the product to your sections however you need while detangling in the process. You get your money's worth and you don't neglect any of your hair!
to me it only seems logical that applying a product with a spray would make the application MORE uneven and less well-distributed than applying a cream, as it is the case with spray sunscreens (Lab Muffin Beauty Science has a great video about this), since the spray concentrates the product towards the middle and only a bit goes on the outer perimeter
Exactly! I use detangling spray on my unruly wolf mane, and I have to spray it on my brush. It wouldn't do anything if I just spritzed into the frizzy abyss
I would love it if you did a video about hair sunscreens or sun protectants. I hike a lot in the spring-fall. I have long hair so I put it through a hole in the back of my UPF 50 hat so it is exposed to the sun for 6 or 8 hours straight which I'm sure is frying it. I would love to hear your thoughts on products for that.
How does living proof penetrate past conditioner to work as a bond repair ? When we have to apply bond repairs to clean hair? This is the only thing I can’t get around my hair with this product
I don't get it also. Abbey said after shampooing, we can use the K18, wait 4 min then use a mask/conditioner. Sooo confusing! Now we switch the order? Help!
@@KV-kt9tm K18 is a completely different product which is also used in a different way. Living proof is used AFTER washing and conditioning. Hope this helps ❤
I’ve been a long time subscriber and following your advice has allowed me to grow my hair to my hips (I’ve never had hair this long and healthy while being color treated ever before).
I love the Purology 21-in-1 and with it being so expensive, I started spraying it in my hands and then applying it to my hair😂I just can't let any of it hit my shirt or the floor! And I just make sure I do a really even distribution this way! I could be crazy, but I just can't waste it💗💗💗💗
I highly recommend Redken Acidic bonding leave-in conditioner and Matrix Instacure Build-A-Bond Super Sealing Leave-In Balm For Very Damaged Hair. Both are great for fine bleached hair.
Hi, have you thought about doing a live video sometime, answering questions, I find people want questions for a video and only answer like 5 questions, I’m sure you get a lot of repeats, but there’s probably more you could answer, have a great week 😀❤️
Can you do a product recommendations video for undamaged/virgin hair? I have coarse, mostly undamaged hair so even though your advice is so good I still don’t really know what products to try since most products you recommend are bond builders! I’d love recs on shampoo/conditioner, mask, leave ins, etc
I love your Sunday hair videos! I wanted to ask, since you are the hair care expert of youtube, have you used the Fenty hair products and if so, or plan on doing so would love to hear your thoughts. They seem to have a damage and bond repair treatment, I am curious about that. The rest of the line seems more for curls and thick hair rather than my straight fine asian hair, but the bond repair treatment is something that looks interesting in the bond repair space
Hey Abbey, I recently visited a dermatologist, and she informed me that my hair is genetically predisposed to damage, and there's little I can do about it. I'm struggling with hair thinning and severe breakage. I've observed that my hair breaks easily ( prematurely), and feels dry, straw-like, and frizzy. Interestingly, I've noticed that the inner parts of my hair and my baby's hair are softer and healthier than the outer parts. I've tried everything from high-end products to drugstore options, and I don't even use heat on my hair. At this point, I'm at a loss as to what the problem might be. ( my previous comment disappeared)
It could be a vitamin or mineral deficiency. The hair then comes out of your head already damaged. And can only be cured from within. The hair needs so many things to get produced, only one lacking, makes it unstable.
I recently discovered Redken Frizz Dismiss and it changed how my hair looks!! I use the same products you always recommend in my routine but that one extra leave in product took it to the next level!!!
Thank you so much for all your recommendations, knowledge and advice. My hair is much healthier, my scalp feels better. Although I still have fine and thin gray hair, it is much easier to style and looks very shiny and healthy. I appreciate you so much, you are my favorite!! Many blessings!!!💖💖💖
ugh my hair is so much better from using your recommendations over the summer - but I just had to cut off 4" to remove the dead ends, Now I want a quick grow routine LOL
The channel live love locks does say that if a brand product that if a product is saying that it has 21 benefits then how can it do ALL of those things WELL, and recommends using a seperate designated heat protectant for that reason. Their reasoning behind it is that companies use it as advertising to get you to buy that product over others. I personally don't know but found the polarizing views interesting.
I’m a recent subscriber but I absolutely love your content, especially your hair content. I know you’re a hair science nerd and a licensed trichologist. Could you do a video for kinky coily type 4 hair from a trichologist’s perspective? There’s so much misinformation out there especially because our hair is so different
She hasn’t spoken on the 4 hair texture, but i have 3c/4a hair and i literally do the exact same things and products she teaches i just style differently (my blow out is a weekly rollerset with pressed roots) i have amazing results. Also, i pre poo with castor and argan oil sometimes not just the OGX oil bc our hair is obviously drier. Hope this helps!
This was another great helpful video. I love aerosol heat protectants. They're such a game changer, and I like trying different ones. I'm currently using one by dphue, but the living proof is going on my list. 💜
I have very curly hair, and I understand you said comb my hair while it’s wet, but does that mean after I apply leave-in? Because, I need leave-in just to comb my hair when it’s wet, and I can’t do anything but use a pick when it’s dry.
Thanks - great jnformation Abbey. I have a question about when you use coconut 🥥 oil. Can you follow that with shampoo and then do a bond repair, like the Garnier one or should you not do that on coconut oil days?
First of all abbey i am an 18 year old young man (yeah man) that really loves your content (haircare only obviously😂) and i am really grateful that you really care about giving good information that is no bs My question is what the hell happened to my hair. I was born with silky hair that you can drive your fingers through like nothing then at the age of like 10 things started to change. It is not rough but it’s not as shiny and smooth as before and gets dry after shampoo. Take in mind i have never bleached or EVEN BLOW DRIED except like once in my life. That’s why i do not think it is damage specially because i get a haircut every 1 and half or two months. So i wonder why did this natural change happen? Did my porosity change,is it even possible? Or is it a sebum issue; i can take ages between washes and never had the feeling of an oily scalp in my entire life. Sorry it’s a lot to read😂 Thank you❤
The Pureology Color Fanatic makes my very fine hair greasy. I wanted to love it but after going through their largest bottle I never replaced it. At the moment I have the Dove Bonding Serum but would like another option for fine hair please

Love this video!❤ I have purchased the Living Proof Triple Bond on your recommendation and I must say it unfortunately leaves my hair so insanely dry! 😢 I put it on in the same pattern as you (before a leave in conditioner). Any recommendations on how to use this product without it making my hair feel so dry and crusty? For reference, I have stopped using it for the past two weeks and my hair is feeling no longer dry and crusty. Does this only happen to me? I can’t be the only person, can I? 🙈
I would have to take out a loan to buy most of these. 🤑🤑😆😆 Thanks so much for including some drug store products. 😊😊 Just started watching u, but thankfully have most of the products u suggest. Appreciate all ur efforts. ❤❤

You make me laugh! In the midst of all your information, you do something, ask yourself what in the heck you’re doing, and then move on. I love it!

FYI if you’re at all sensitive to fragrances, then be warned- Pureology Color Fanatic is super perfumed and the scent lingers in your hair
I use this every day and have not noticed an overwhelming scent.

Regular conditioner is rinsed out, therefore Living Proof can penetrate. The hair is literally clean when you're applying to your hair.

@KV-kt9tm Yeah K18 has slightly different instructions on it. Just like epres you spray that on damp hair before you wash.

The Target website says it changed the name to: L'Oreal Paris EverPure 21-in-1 Leave In Conditioner Spray.
Can you please do a video reviewing your favorite hair brushes ❤
