  • To find out all about it, Dr. Grant used charcoal tooth powder for an entire month! What were the results? Does it whiten teeth? Is it safe?
Sadly, no - charcoal tooth powder does not whiten teeth. I used it for an entire month, every night, and as you can see in the video, there was no change in the colour of my teeth.
And no, it is not safe to use. This is because they are too abrasive for tooth enamel and dentine.
Most companies make some outrageous claims about the ability of their charcoal toothpastes and tooth powders to whiten teeth, protect tooth enamel and detoxify your mouth. Ultimately, these claims are all untrue.
Charcoal tooth powders and toothpastes made by the likes of Carbon Coco, HiSmile, WhiteGlo and even Colgate, do not whiten teeth nor do they detoxify mouths. Some have fluoride in their formulations and that may give some protection against tooth decay, but research has also found that the charcoal may absorb the fluoride, rendering it useless.
For more information and a more in-depth review, you can visit our blog where I go into more details about the WhiteGlo charcoal tooth powder that I used and more: www.methoddent...
(Oh and why does it look like other people get white teeth by using these products? The answer lies in the lighting in the photos - look closely and you’ll see that the lighting is almost always completely different, making the teeth qppear lighter)

i just tried the charcoal powder and brushed gently for 1 min and it was excellent, worked for me and actually found it a lot less damaging than having your teeth scrapped by a dentist, lot lest expensive!!!

White Glo whitened my teeth using it 2x a week along with fluoride toothpaste during the rest of the week! It won't make them look porcelain white, but there was a noticeable difference! This dentist already had nice coloured teeth, so his test was of no consequence!

@@ItachiUchiha-zv7wp This dentist in the video mentioned he is using Colgate Optic everyday. Optic has Hydrogen Peroxide. This is no abrasive whitening ingredient that is used in professional dental whitening . Give it a try. The cheapest is 1% HP the more HPeroxide the more expensive the paste is.

Until today there is not a single scientific test that proves that the charcoal is bad for the teeth. By the ingredients is the same abrasive as a normal toothpaste, yes toothpaste contain also abrasive ingredients but they are minimal and the same with the charcoal.

bruh he made an before and after comparison of only one use lmao. What if you use it for a couple of months? He also called it a gimmick "a trick" which is not correct. There just isn't enough research done on this product to say anything about it. He also said "if this product can't whiten your teeth without damaging it i can't recommend it" But the dude don't know anything about the product so he can't say anything for sure.

Dentists recommend and approve of hydrogen peroxide for teeth whitening yet it’s not good for overall long term tooth health.
Yet this dentist can’t recommend this which is way less harsh on the teeth.
