Thank you Masood: One more detailed, very supportive video! Compared to a service manual work sheet, these not only show what to do, but how to do it. In your former version on a W220, you did support the transmission under the bell housing, this time under the pan. Why so?
Hi @michelcroteau538 , you are an astute observer. I prefer supporting it under the bell housing unless the pan will be dropped for a filter change, which I did later on this car. I just think the pan gasket gets squeezed beyond the recommended pan cover's torque value. Many mechanics use the pan for support, so it probably works in most cases. But, I can see if the gasket has not been changed for a long time, the additional pressure and relief may damage the gasket and cause leaks. So, to all reading, use the bell housing instead.
As always an excellent video. Thank you and greetings from Bavaria/Germany 😊
@@AkadectraVielen Dank.

@@masood-tv Thanks for your reply! I totally agree with your cautions.
@@masood-tv One more question: If I want to replace both flex discs only, do I have to remove the center support bolts or just loosen them?
Hi Michel, just loosen them. However, even removing them will not cause any additional burden if it helps in removing the discs.
@@masood-tv Thanks Masood, the explanation you're adding clears what I was worried about!
