BOSS DS-1 * DISTORTION PEDAL * DEMO

Really like this gadget...
HOw?
Guitar + BOSS DS-1 + Boss Katana 50MK II (front panel as any amp), THEN - KATANA rec out + interfase + DAW (No post processing)
Why? ....fun???
So...if you only have 1 guitar....somehow you are not happy with the Katana's onboard effects (they are awesome) and you only have 1 pedal (DS-1)....this is how it will sound...
To be honest with you....I find the sound excellent, granted, not for every style of music (punk, thrash, stoner, doom, rock, metal), but knowing me...I would not give a FXXXX and use it anyways...LOL...
I only used the TONE KNOB on this demo....I set the distortion level at 3pm and then just played with different settings on the tone.

Always liked the DS1, and it's alternatives (Satchurator, basically a DS1 but with gain knob really progressive and linear, and the "more" button, that gives you exactly what it says)), for a nice lead tone, I keep the tone at 9 O' Clock level and Dist at 3pm : to quote Steve Vai "this pedal gives me a fat Bob Marley joint sound that I love so much"
